  1. So I got my Admission Letter in the mail today for Exam 2612 on Tuesday, July 5th, 8:30 AM at 180 Livingston Street in Downtown Brooklyn. However, it states the following: "As stated in the Notice of Examination, you are required to pay a $20.00 Exam Processing fee in the form of a money order that you MUST bring to your test." Does anyone else's Admission Letter state this? How come we did not have to pay a Processing fee for Exam 2611? Thanks in advance for the replies, I appreciate it.
  2. Definitely! The only three things you have to lose are the following: a) Study time b) Taking the exam on a Saturday or Sunday c) The application fee ($68.00) As they say, "you never know until you try," right?
  3. Back in the day, I was a mathematics major, therefore: -If you got 42 questions correct, 42 divided by 60 equals 0.70. Move the decimal points two places to the right, which gives you 70%. (NOTE: This is the passing score.) -If you got 45 questions correct, 45 divided by 60 equals 0.75. Move the decimal points two places to the right, which gives you 75%. -If you got 48 questions correct, 48 divided by 60 equals 0.80. Move the decimal points two places to the right, which gives you 80%. -If you got 51 questions correct, 51 divided by 60 equals 0.85. Move the decimal points two places to the right, which gives you 85%. -If you got 54 questions correct, 54 divided by 60 equals 0.90. Move the decimal points two places to the right, which gives you 90%. -If you got 57 questions correct, 57 divided by 60 equals 0.95. Move the decimal points two places to the right, which gives you 95%. -If you got 60 questions correct, 60 divided by 60 equals 1.00. Move the decimal points two places to the right, which gives you 100%. (Congrats!!)
  4. As for a reason, I would say "Take an educated guess and go with it." (Feel free to send me a Private Message if you want me to personally elaborate.) Since this is the next "Civil Service" examination, there will be a future date. At this point, no one knows when it will be. Perhaps three months from now? Perhaps six months from now? Again, "Take an educated guess and go with it." Nice, right?
  5. I was just trying to answer your question above, especially with the last three words you wrote. That's all.
  6. As far as your questions are concerned, see below, which is self-explanatory, especially when it comes to "fame-hungry douchebag." And if my Moderator status does get revoked because of this, I would not mind personally revoking these handouts on my Flickr page, and these videos which are on my YouTube channel which have helped so many other people on this website. After all, "treat others the way you want to be treated," right? In addition, weren't you folks looking for concrete evidence, regardless of how old the image is? And if you don't believe me with the quote, then I really wonder why the R32s were pulled out-of-service so early on Sunday, compared to making all of their scheduled trips?
  7. I just sent the Private Message. Feel free to send me a reply when you folks get a chance. Although I modified your quote, as I look at this picture, which comes from Flickr, why is it that there is only one person displaying his red TA pass around his neck, while everyone else in the picture does not have their TA passes displayed? (Hint: He's standing on the right side, in front of the gentlemen wearing the older TA vest.)
  8. I'll send you a Private Message (PM) within the next couple of days, based on what else unfolds as a result of what happened on Sunday and the remaining Sundays, regardless if I'm there in person or not.
  9. If we're talking about the same person(s), as of this typing, their YouTube channel(s) did not get shut down...let me know. If I "think" it's the same person, I would not mind doing the honors...let me know.
  10. (Credit goes to @Dj Hammers) Enjoy!!
  11. Nice job with the thread! As you can probably tell, you "bumped" another thread/topic, in which the last post was made over three [3] months ago. Therefore, going forward, as per the guidelines, if you can please keep this in mind, it would be appreciated. Thank you!
  12. They're not preparing these cars out of 207th Street Shop, where the rest of the Nostalgia Trains are prepared?
  13. The phone number which is listed on the bottom of the first page of the pre-employment packet is (347) 643 7413. In addition, you can also try (347) 643 8229/30/31/32 as well. If you still have trouble, I would suggest reaching out to the "higher ups," whose contact information can be viewed here. Good luck!!
  14. I understand where you're coming from, however, we'll see what happens as time progresses. After all, none of the older Nostalgia Trains have ran since before the pandemic began, and with the fact that the evidence I previously posted is self-explanatory...we'll see what happens as time progresses.
  15. To make a long story short: This only happens around the older Nostalgia Trains. If you want to see more evidence, send me a Private Message (PM) and I'll be more than happy to share this with you. If I get bombarded with several Private Messages (PMs) in regards to this, I'll post it for everybody to see.
  16. No. The maximum amount is four [4] points. Just make sure that this is paid and you do whatever you can to keep your license/abstract clean as best as possible.
  17. Unauthorized personnel being on the property, which includes the storage yards and having people around 3rd rails who are not Track Certified. If you need more evidence, I would encourage you to check out this and this link, which comes from this YouTube video. Should be self-explanatory.
  18. Normally, when you switch over from MTA Bus Company to MaBSTOA, or MaBSTOA to NYC Transit, the answer would be "yes" and you wouldn't have to redo the 10-Day Training Session out of Zerega. However, since both of these are for MTA Bus Company, my "educated" guess would be no, however I would save a copy of the pre-employment packet, either digital or physical, in the event they make you do it over again. If you save it digitally, you can just change the exam number, edit a few things, and you should be good to go.
  19. In addition to what was previously said, which are all good points, I have two things to add: First, with more and more people getting vaccinated for COVID-19, it seems that this new Omicron variant is not as severe, especially when it comes to deaths. Therefore, in an effort to try to get things back to normal, in addition to "killing two birds with one stone," it would make sense to have this R32 Farewell Run on multiple Sundays, compared to just one day like they did with the R42 Farewell Run. Second, one of the many things which was posted on this Twitter page is the picture below, in which, you can see right above the star, the author posted a comment in which "Seeing this stuff run is a million times better than running that crap at work." Therefore, while the agency investigates this, especially with the older Nostalgia Trains, it would make sense to run the R32s in the meantime, especially since they don't have to go into a "relay" or anything to that nature. After all, according to TripPlanner, it takes an hour to get from Brighton Beach to 96th Street, so that should solve the problem while this investigation is underway.
  20. The reason why you're not able to send a direct, or Private Message (PM) is because you joined the site within the past thirty (30) calendar days. By the end of this month you should have more features, including the ability to send Private Messages (PM). As far as the thread you're looking for - click here. To make a long story short, since this position is not that popular to begin with, it makes sense to condense all of the Part-Time Bus Operator information from the various examinations into one thread, which only has five pages, compared to having multiple threads, respectively. -Young
  21. The examination you are referring to is being talked about in this thread/topic, it is not for this particular examination. As per the guidelines, if you can please stay on-topic, it would be appreciated...thanks.
  22. If I had to take an educated guess - no. That's one of the things about these non-Civil Service examinations - the agency can bend the rules, and, at the same time, get away with it. It has it's advantages and disadvantages, and in this case, it's a disadvantage.
  23. Hey @KDGallagher, have you considered looking at the handouts, especially this one, which is what Seven is describing? As we all know, there are different ways and/or methods of learning, and sometimes looking at a visual will do the trick compared to just reading the information and trying to picture it for yourself in your mind. Happy Thanksgiving!!
