Bus Rodeo, who's going?

I just got back, too. Like trainfan22, I, too, saw many buses, such as the Fishbowls and Liberty Lines bus 3006. The MCI 2185, badly damaged from the 9/11 attacks, was there. But some like Command's 4904 and Queens Surface's 275 were missing. The food was not that bad, although I only had a chili burger and one chicken wing.

I met many members of the forums, inluding FamousNYLover, Alex, 33rd Street, CurAke79, Majinvegeta, R32 3838, aemoreira81, and Igor; including a BusChat member, Concourse. There were a few other forumers that I encountered, but I forgot, unfortunately. (If you want to remind me of your pen name, PM me.)

Majinvegeta, 33rd Street, R32 3838, aemoreira81, and CurAke79 were part of a group of about ten or eleven, all of whom are NYC Transit Forum members/YouTube users. Stupid me for not remembering the rest of their names. *headdesk*

It was sunny originally, then at around 3 PM, it rained hard and knocked away the tent for the bus shuttle. The crew consisting of CurAke, R32, myself, and the others all grew shocked, but LOLed afterwards.

I also got the chance to toy with the Luminator bus signs, hopinng to find out what the flipdot signs looked like for the Yonkers Depot buses. I got two codes corectly, but I definitely need more advice as to how to change the signs correctly better. (BTW, the code I correctly changed was for the Q44 local...on an RTS, with the "via Main Street" sign in 9-pixel typography. It'd be very interesting to see a Q44 RTS someday, don't ya think? ;))

All in all, it was fun, but that long trip to and fro was a pain in the ***. (Next time, I'll take the shuttle instead of the Q35.)

Take the (2) train to Brooklyn College-Flatbush Avenue and take a B41 Limited to Flatbush Avenue and Avenue T infront of Waldbaum's (its not that far from Kings Plaza) and thats where the Shuttle bus starts from. I believe the time is from 10am-5pm or earlier than 10am. Ask the B/O just incase you forget!

Its only 1 Shuttle Bus to the Roadeo.....if you want to sit on the B41 local from Flatbush Avenue and Nostrand Avenue to Flatbush Avenue and Avenue T, you have fun with that....hense why I said take the B41 Limited.....after Flatbush Avenue and Nostrand Avenue to goes straight to Kings Highway and Flatbush Avenue and after that its all local stops to Kings Plaza.

You will get on the B41 that reads:

B41 Limited

Kings Plaza

via Flatbush Avenue

*Remember tell the B/O you want to get off for the Shuttle Bus @ Flatbush Avenue and Avenue T infront of Waldbaums. The Shuttle bus sign will read:

See Sign Below

The Shuttle Bus runs every 30 mins....so if you miss it you'll have to wait for another one. If decide to walk it...good luck with that b/c its one heck of a walk so the Shuttle bus is worth it!

And its raining now(5am). Hope to cya there. If anything ill contact ya at utube!

Yes, Bus ROdeo is very far from where Q35 drop off because Q35 B/O lie to me there was no (S) Bus, but when we were walking Flloyd Bennet Field, there was (S) bus. Nice B/O took us back to Av T, then back to Rodeo.

It was very FAR from Flatbush Av. See map.

You're not alone. Someone tricked me, too, although he didn't know there was a shuttle to the Roadeo. A couple of other people, including a bus operator, didn't know where the Roadeo was and got lost, too. Fortunately, someone directed me and the others where to go, and I got a little car ride to there.

Talk about a close call.

I got on front car of Times Sq-bound <7> express #1790 departed Junction Blvd @ 8:45, arrive 45th Rd-Court House Sq @ 9:01.

Total time on subway: 16 minutes.

Soon as I enter LIC/Court Sq (G), I missed 10-car (G) train.

I walk to rear and counted number of cars used from rear to front, #5716, #5717, #5715, #5714, #6080, #6081, #6079, 6078

I got on front car of Coney Island-bound (G) #6078 departed 9:16, arrive Hoyt-Schermerhorn @ 9:35.

Total time on subway: 19 minutes.

I stop by at IHOP to get breakfast which I order Harvest & Nuts with banana slices.

As I was waiting for pancake, I got shocked when IHOP began singing "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY" that I laugh so hard, I almost fall off my BENCH!

After breakfast came, I walk to Nevins St Station, and got on front car of Crown Heights-bound (4) #7755 departed 10:06, arrive Crown Heights-Utica Av @ 10:16.

Total time on subway: 10 minutes.

I went to Utica Av & Eastern Parkway South Service Rd stop and waiting for B46 LTD.

After two B46 local came, LTD finally came and I got on Kings Plaza-bound B46 Flatbush #8872 came and departed 10:25, B46 LTD drop me off at Utica/Flatbush Avs @ 10:50. While I was riding this bus, I don't believe in spirit, but I felt sorrow for Edwin Thomas. I couldn't see shuttle bus stop even he told me to across the street.

Total time on bus: 25 minutes.

When I saw B41 Local, I look both way and cross busiest Flatbush Av to Avenue S and got on Kings Plaza-bound B41 Flatbush #8803 departed 10:53 which he did not know where (S) Bus was, but I got off at Kings Plaza @ 11:00 where I ask dispatcher. He did not know where was shuttle bus.

Total time on bus: 7 minutes.

B/O told me it properly that one sitting near Walburm, but since it was my first time, I cross street and try to flag the shuttle bus at Q35 Avenue U-V stop, but he did not stop. I couldn't find the bus stop, so I ask Q35 B/O and he told me, "there's no shuttle bus to rodeo.".

I got on Rockaway Park-bound Q35 Far Rockaway #3757 departed 11:10, and drop me off Flatbush Av/Avation Rd @ 11:18.

Total time on bus: 8 minutes.

As I and heaveyset women was walking to rodeo, we spotted NG because it was huge former municipal airport runaway, so nice B/O took us on single bus ride on Flatbush #3929 on Subway Shuttle Bus departed range station @ 11:23, arrive Flatbush Av/Avenue T @ 11:32.

Total time on Shuttle Bus: 9 minutes.

We stay on and bus departed 11:33, arrive Flloyd Bennet Field and Aviator Sports and Recreation #24 at 1143.

I miss the sign in tent, but member of Straphanger Campaign/NYCT Forum told me where to get ticket at registration tent.

After I got ticket, I enter and took lots of pictures with dispersal camera. I mostly took 2 bus pic at same time to save film.

One B/O recognize me from M72 bus.

Then, after my lunch staple, I also got hamburger, rice stuff, orange soda, but only orange soda half-of-them split into my printed copy of TTMG Fleet Roster.

I went to bus rodeo, but there was no SCT there.

I sit down on every vintage buses and private bus companies.

I finish my popcorn on my second private bus company, Liberty Lines.

Around 14:00, I plan to take (S) Bus to Avenue T to use restroom at Sears, because I don't like portable toilet too much, but by that time same #3929 came back, it was not departing soon, so I stayed until around 15:30. Nice ranger police let me take pic of park ranger police logo on patrol car.

Nice B/O let me ride the Flatbush #5191 which was given Bus Contestant #269.

I had watermelon.

Door closed: 15:31. Friend or family, children quiet down.

Course Start at James Petty Start: 15:56.

He travel succefully through tennis balls, but hit the cone at turn.

He had little trouble backing up straight, then again.

He open door at Doug Doby Rd @ 16:04, departed 16:05, arrive Amely at 16:06, departed 16:07, then ended and came back to formation @ 16:09.

I enjoyed it very much.

After that, I took pictures of all or almost all buses on display at same time.

Then I went to front, and write down on my red memo pad what buses are there.
