Pablo M 201 35 Posted January 1, 2008 Share #2 Posted January 1, 2008 WHOA! Look at that (B)ravo Hippo in the beginning and then the PATH PA-3 with the engineer stopping the train ASAP and walked out to see the car. It amazes me how they were able to get to that train and graffiti it. Just sad.
Harry 1,088 Posted January 1, 2008 Share #3 Posted January 1, 2008 I've been seeing a lot of top to bottoms on trains lately. It seems to be originating with trains coming out of the Bronx. Trains out of Brooklyn and Queens have been okay from what I've been seeing.
Ken S. 4 Posted January 1, 2008 Share #4 Posted January 1, 2008 Strange my silver/blue R17s haven't been tagged yet, or North Jersey TA has a zero-tolerance policy regarding tagged subway trains. See; There's a post on RR.NET with a pic of a tagged MOW R17 model. The membership there is throwing a fit over it.

The guys that do the graffiti get into the yards that are in the Bronx more easily then in the other boroughs.

I like to look at the old subway cars fully covered in graffiti but not todays cars.

N-Trizzy2609 11 Posted January 1, 2008 Share #9 Posted January 1, 2008 Graffiti is coming back. Recently I saw a R-38 Train pulling into Penn Station with tag up and down. It wasn't even good graffiti. It was bulls**t scribble scrabble!
TransitGuy 1 Posted January 1, 2008 Share #10 Posted January 1, 2008 I have seen this video at least 20 times and this video dates to around 2000. What gets me is the fact that these artists gain access to these areas is an easy way.
R1Toasty 0 Posted January 1, 2008 Share #11 Posted January 1, 2008 I have no affinity for the graffiti "artists." They might think they are artists and cool and whatnot, but truth be told, they detract from the artistic feel of the subway, I wish they would stop. Why do the trains have to be tagged? What's the point?
DonOfAllBuses 3 Posted January 1, 2008 Share #12 Posted January 1, 2008 I agree, I know if I was out tacking pix of my favorite subway car I wouldn't wanna see that crap on it, especially if it was an R160B. If they want to show off their work, they can do what I and everyone else does. Draw it on paper, then post it on the internet. Simple as that. sebbieprops 0 Posted January 2, 2008 Share #13 Posted January 2, 2008 I don't consider it a form of "art" in the least. It's defacement and vandalism of property that doesn't belong to you. If you want to draw on the wall, draw on the wall in your own place.
