Lexington Av Local Posted January 19, 2011 Share #13 Posted January 19, 2011 A tad off topic, but I once rode an R46 2 days after the big blizzard. And on that R46, the chime was the oddest of any I've heard. It was extremely similar to something that you'd hear from a robot. It wasn't very off from a sound that that droid from star wars would make. It was like "EEEe-bOOOo."
8 Av/Fulton Exp Posted January 21, 2011 Share #14 Posted January 21, 2011 i always thought the R110's were very handsome looking cars, as a fan of 75 footersidve loved to see what these wouldve looked like rockin ,,or symbols
IRT Bronx Express Posted January 21, 2011 Share #15 Posted January 21, 2011 They're not 75 footers as they're actually 67 footers, making up only a 9 car set.
