Big tree was supposed to have 47 buses but instead they have 44 buses at Big Tree due to their three buses headed to A&C transportation. Hopefully, Big Tree would regain it's fleet back to 47 buses (5742-5756,5758,5761-5792) if the metros are still around. speaking of the metro-Ds, I have seen one on the 78 line just now when I was waiting for the 40 to Jersey Gardens Mall.

BTW, my info could be false regardless.

Was the 40 you took a NABI or a Metro?

There are no more Flxibles in Southern NJ.

We have NOVAs, MCIS and NABIs in the Camden area;

Washington Township

NABI: 5201, 5323-5365

MCI: 7512-7530, 7542, 7618, 8000-8024, 8030-8038, 7802-7805, 8269-8277, 8286, 8288, 8850-8855

Newton Avenue

NABI Suburban 5366-5383

NABI Transit 5568(?)-5590 **5568 is in the area from the Hamilton ( Mercer) garage

NOVA 1132-1137, 1201-1209, 1248-1252, 1263, 1265, 1284-1291, 1577

** 1284-1291 are recent transfers from the Market St garage in Paterson

They replaced the METRO D that were left.

MCI 7543-7566, 7611, 7933, 8025-8029

Thats what I know is in the Camden area, now as far as the Atlantic City and Trenton areas, I am not sure. I don't live/ ride buses in those areas.

Wow. Then if that's the case, besides AC and Trenton, the Newark area is the only places left that have Metro D's. Shocking.

Nah the metro d's are still there. But Big Tree just received 5791 - 5796. Only 3 remain now 3754, 3757, & 3762.

Lol, that's sad! But I do wonder how the Metro-Ds are retiring; do they go to the scrapyard like in my video. And I didn't know that the 5790-series NABIs were here now! Seems like at 5800, the Flxible era will have ended.

If someone has 11 to 14K, they could buy one from NEMCO.

There's already 5800s on New Jersey Transit property.

Flx 3778 will be saved by the NJ heritage transportation museum. Along with plans to save a 40 ft nova 2625 and 30ft 2501. Plans are in the works this from there website. They also have two old njt MC-9 buses I think 6106 and 5036.

5046 & 6106? Sounds like MC-9s. BTW, how are the Metro-Ds doing? I think some may have been reactivated (at other garages). And also, does NJHTM have Metro-B 3529 or is that another company?

That's good news. I hope you guys also get to save a Nova B since you're gonna get a Nova A (2625). Wasn't 3778 a Hilton bus - a la 107/108?

Yes they are mci 9's. They have an ex mta grumman NJT 1596 and a 1981 grum/flx 1128. Not sure about 3529 I think someone else has that one. Also the staff rejected getting an ex njt 5500 series eagle.

SMH The last of my most favorite buses is over. Big Tree received 5742, 5797, 5798, & 5799.The last 3 3752, 3754, & 3757 are gone for good now. Thank you Metro d's for your wonderful service. Yall be truly missed. :(

Don't know if this is true but don't they still have Flxible Metros in service for the A/C transit lines or were those replaced with RTSs (which will still be pwned as well)
