Pablo M 201 Posted April 6, 2011 Share #2 Posted April 6, 2011 I was wondering about that because I was at the game last night. I figured it had to do with something financial among other things such as miscommunication.

Everything with the is money. It's a joke for instance (not to get too off topic lol)that the Metro North station is not named "Yankee Stadium-153rd Street' instead of 'Yankees-153rd Street.' Most of the MNRR conductors (at least on the Hudson Line)still announce that south bronx station as "Yankee Stadium-153rd.' From the tone of this article sounds like the Yankees wanted an offical 'paid' sponsor and still could have went to the for a new deal.

PATCOman Posted April 7, 2011 Share #12 Posted April 7, 2011 Slightly OT, but there is a race to Citizens Bank Park subway race played at Phillie games. It shows 2 BSS trains, a red and a blue one racing from City Hall to AT&T Station. There is no narration like most races at MLB stadia, and it is played only during a pitching change and not in between an inning. That is how it looked with the old video board. It looks entirely different with the larger, new board.

dkpintar Posted June 3, 2011 Share #16 Posted June 3, 2011 Years ago on one of my trips to NYC, I came into posession of a ad poster from the inside of a train. It said (simply): "Take the train to the game" and displayed the ( icons.

SI Subway Posted June 7, 2011 Share #18 Posted June 7, 2011 If there needed to be 3 different colors, the ( should have been yellow, because there actually used to be a yellow . MikeGerald Posted June 9, 2011 Share #22 Posted June 9, 2011 If there HAD to be three colors I would have made the B train bullet - either black or a dark grey - the original colors of the B-train before it became orange or yellow. Just my thoughts. The dark blue designation for either the B or D train just does not work with the current understanding of the routes of those lines. The orange D-train bullet of course works for the D-train in a historical pattern sense. While the green bullet for the #4 train is not a problem, since it can be rendered in its current color. The B-train in its Black or Dark Grey bullet signage while actually a Washington Heights bound local route designation on the subway maps of the 1970's, just for this animation can be used, and also fit within historical patterns. Mike The 70( would probably make no sense to younger Yankee fans, while a yellow would be understood by these individuals. The yellow never went to Washington Heights, but it was a fairly recent train that younger fans might actually get. Plus, there needs to be some color in the Subway Race.
