R62A 1991 2 Posted June 24, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 24, 2008 Or Bergen Beach, whatever floats your boat. Got 'em off today, figured I'd waste some time in this area. A B3 on Layover on E. 69th St A B41 on Layover on E. 70 St Just a B3. Does that bus have its sign off? No, look closely. A BM1. Spring Creek unfortunately lost its new MCIs to S.I. (most of them). Too bad, I'd rather this O5 than S.I.'s MCIs. Finally, what company does this bus belong to? Relax, it's just a regular old B3. Hope you enjoyed. East New York 4,103 Posted June 25, 2008 Share #7 Posted June 25, 2008 Great shots! I was on 5215 yesterday. I wish ENY still had the 51/5200's that are now at Flatbush.
'89 Liberty MCI 2 Posted June 25, 2008 Share #8 Posted June 25, 2008 Good shots. I was definitely riding in that Manhattan-bound 726 at around 5 or 5:15pm with the 124 in the run box. I was in the frontmost seat on the door side. That bus operator's my buddy who I was talking to, he's the same dude who had 7901 a lot when she was in service. I see everything with my peripheral vision, I wonder why I didn't see you taking a picture of our bus..

I wish they did as well, makes for great runs on the Belt Pkwy on the B83. Good shots. I was definitely riding in that Manhattan-bound 726 at around 5 or 5:15pm with the 124 in the run box. Future ENY OP 2,523 Posted June 25, 2008 Share #10 Posted June 25, 2008 Great pics, especially the 1st pic, and I think 5215 is due for a REPAINT. 5213 & 5214 have already been repainted.

Micstromme 20 Posted June 26, 2008 Share #12 Posted June 26, 2008 Great shots! I was on 5215 yesterday. I wish ENY still had the 51/5200's that are now at Flatbush. East New York Depot had the 1999 Nova Bus division bt. 4945-5025,5205-5249 at one point in time. That depot never had a single 5100 in its division. Also, right after the 1999's came in, there was a time when the Jackie Gleason Depot and the East New York Depot took some upper 9400s and 5200's from the division. 5230-5249 was at JG first along with 8340-8349 from Flatbush and then went over to ENY. 8340-8350 went back to Fb first and now that those buses are long gone (MTAB), there was nothing else to contend with so since the ENY got hybrids (which they reluctantly agreed to finally) and Fb did not want any hybrids (at the time) they were given the next best thing, the '99 Novas. I really wanted for the 8670-8703 division to go over to Flatbush Depot so that they could get a second chance at glamour because ENY cannot keep the beauty of these buses up. Hopefuly before they retire for good, they will see good times at Fb. Also, it wouldbe nice if the 1990 TMC's got some whitebacks. Not seen one with such as of yet. As far as the upkeep of the buses, ENY does a damn good job, but you have to remember they have over 230+ buses, not to mension they are resposible for major maintenance of depots all over the city. The keep ALL the hybrids looking good. More than 3/4's of them are Level II.
