You forgot something.

(S) 42 St Shuttle uses three R62 trains, three cars each

And two suggestions.

Change (H) to (S) Rockaway Shuttle

Take out (9), (K), and (JFK). There's no need to put dead lines on the list.

Actully the 42nd st shuttle uses R62A's not R62's. And on the RTO program sheet or whatever its called, still uses the (H) for the rocaway park shuttle.

Yes im sure. Im talking about when T/O's pick their line to work on the program sheet is called the (H).

But that's internal use, something the general public doesn't know. Better to leave it as the (S) Rock Park Shuttle.

(D) is R68 with occasional apparance of R68A and R40/M for Yankees Specials.

And don't use something like (H) or (JFK) because we all know they don't use it.

Exactly

I took the dead and unused lines off the list, thanks for telling me!:P

How about some numbers for the IRT?

(1) uses R62As 1811-1900 & 2156-2475 (the first set is a little off.)

(2) uses R142s 6301-6680 (with R142s from the (5) as necessary)

(3) uses R62s 1301-1625, except 1316-1320, 1371-1375, & 1531-1545 (which are assigned to the (4)), and 1366-1370, 1435-7, 1439, 1440 (in accidents). Also uses 10 R62A singles not on the 42nd St (S).

(4) uses R142s 1101-1250, 7071-7180, R142As 7671-7730, R142S 7731-7810, and R62s 1316-1320, 1371-1375 & 1531-1545.

(5) uses R142s 6681-7060 (with R142s from the (2) as necessary)

(6)/<6> uses R142As 7211-7670.

(7)/<7> uses R62As 1651-1810 & 1901-2155, except 1909 (accident) and 20 cars in the 1900s, which are assigned to Livonia/Lenox.

(S) Uses 10 R62As that aren't on the (3), but are still assigned to Livonia/Lenox.

If anyone has the correct numbers for the (1) & (7), and even the (S) if you can find them, please feel free to correct.

I used to regularly take the (7) when I still had school but the (7) uses 1651-1840 with the exception of a few sets. 1771-1775 used to have red stickers, and 1806-1810 used to have blue stickers but they have been Coronified.

On the (7), I have seen all of 1651-1810, 1811-1815, 1821-1825, and 1831-1840. I know for a fact that 1826-1830 are on the (1). I might have seen 1816-1820, but I can't remember. I'm pretty sure I did though.

42nd Shuttle uses 5 cars iirc

E doesn't use "some" r46 there's only 1 R46 on the E, and i think that was a emergency put-in (hopefully)

I think the 42nd St shuttle uses two 3-car trains and one 4-car train, even though I've never been on it before (lol).

The R46 on the (E) doesn't exist. Well it does, but it is not one train running on the line. 95% of the time there are no trains on the (E), but if something comes up (i.e. Switch problems at an (E) terminal) and delays occur they will put it in service. Or, if rush hour service gets really demanding. The last time I got on it was between November and March of 2007. In fact that was the only time I got on it. I saw it three times before that, the third being back in 2001 after 9/11.

42 Street Shuttle: 3 or 4-car R62A trains. Definitely not 5.

R46 on (E): Why don't we just leave it as "rarely?"

R142S: Eighty cars, known as the R142S, were built by Kawasaki in 2003-04 to supplement the R142As. They are numbered as 7731-7810. The MTA considers the R142S to be R142A. (from Wikipedia)

i choose not to believe that the (E) IS LATE MOST OF THE TIMES.

There's very few R142S cars on the (4). I wonder what the difference is between an R142A and an R142S? I haven't checked out the difference that much.

There isn't a difference. The R142S is just the R142A. R142S were extras the MTA ordered from Kawasaki.

That's correct. The GC shuttle fleet is two three car and one four car train of R 62A equipment.
