TheSubwayStation Posted September 23, 2012 Share #106 Posted September 23, 2012 Both, please.... Okay; I don't know if this is going to help you but this is it: My OpenBVE window: My Route folder: "get info" window for my Route folder: "get info" window for my IND Valley Stream folder (within Object): My Sound Folder: "get info" window for my Sound folder: My Train folder: "get info" window for my Train folder:
Brighton Express Posted September 23, 2012 Author Share #107 Posted September 23, 2012 (edited) *sigh* In LegacyContent, you have to CREATE the object and sound folder. You then take the folder INSIDE the object folder of the archive (not the folder named Object) and put it in the folder you created. It should work. Do the same with the sound folder. Since when? @TSS, you need to update your OpenBVE. Edited September 23, 2012 by Brighton Express
TheSubwayStation Posted September 23, 2012 Share #108 Posted September 23, 2012 @TSS, you need to update your OpenBVE. Is that better than just creating the folders as Threxx said? Or, do you think that I'll never get it to work with my current version?
Threxx Posted September 23, 2012 Share #109 Posted September 23, 2012 (edited) Hm... That version is outdated, try downloading 1.4.2 here: http://openbve.org/' Also, if you want to play the properly, you also need to get the v. 4.5 update on BVEStation. TheSubwayStation Posted September 23, 2012 Share #112 Posted September 23, 2012 THANK YOU so much Brighton and Threxx. It's working (sort of). One problem: the power button, Z, isn't working. So, my train is basically coasting out of Coney Island at 2 MPH or so...Anyone know how to fix this?

So, my train is basically coasting out of Coney Island at 2 MPH or so...Anyone know how to fix this? You need to set the reverser forward using F to move into forward and V to move into reverse.\ And as I said before, I STRONGLY URGE YOU to update your line to v. 4.5. It's a much better route that way. Edited September 23, 2012 by Threxx

TheSubwayStation Posted September 23, 2012 Share #115 Posted September 23, 2012 Sorry, but can any of you please tell me what the folder for the 4.5 is called? I decompressed the 7z, but can't seem to find the folder.
Threxx Posted September 23, 2012 Share #116 Posted September 23, 2012 (edited) OK.... When you download it, move it to your desktop. Make sure you also have downloaded the and lines, as they are dependencies. Once you have installed the and , unarchive the update. Copy the folders into Object/Route/Sound, overwriting anything it asks you too. All three lines should then be updated. TheSubwayStation Posted September 24, 2012 Share #119 Posted September 24, 2012 It looks like he got it working to me, and the only problem is with the new . Exactly. I've gotten it to work perfectly; I just don't know the file name for the decompressed new folder, so I can't install it.
Mr Railfan Posted September 26, 2012 Share #120 Posted September 26, 2012 Exactly. I've gotten it to work perfectly; I just don't know the file name for the decompressed new folder, so I can't install it. Please view the readme included with the download as it contains instructions on how to install it. Once it decompresses just put merge the route folder with the route directory and the Sound folder with the sound directory and the route folder with the route directory. If for what ever reason it decompressed and it doesnt show those three folder, but instead shows the ontents of the 3 folder you would have to : Put this folder into the sound directory (railway\sound) (CulverS) Put this folder into the route directory (Railway\route) (NYCT-F [v4.51]) put these folders into the Object directory (Railway\Object) (8thAve)(Culver)(IND Valley Stream)(LefShut)(NYCTCommon)(Octavia)(V Line) If you still have problems, i can help you install it via teamviewer.
