Just say "DELETE" and a mod will delete it for you...

Was this really a necessary post? Anyways...

UPDATE

We are almost there fellas. Almost there.

Chris is almost done. 89% and looking good.

openbve2012112300280472.png

Yet again, almost there. I would like to announce the release of the (A) to JFK!!!

http://www.openbveconnect.com/download.php?view.118

And on a side note, I would like to announce the release of the NYCTA tunnels pack for Trainz. The stations are rumored to come out sometime today, so keep your fingers crossed fellas. Then EL and OpenCut, and then work will resume on the R160 and R142, seeing that the exterior was an excellent success for the BVE members.

UPDATE

Nothing much. Except that THE (B) HAS BEEN RELEASED!!! This is a milestone in OpenBVE history, as this is the first non-fictional, open-cut route ever made for OpenBVE!!! DJ Hammers announced it as an early X-Mas present.

For now it will be CPW/6 Av/Brighton Express, and Grand CC Local. The (Q) is being worked on as well, but before they release the new (Q), they want the Astoria portion to be completed.

We have some nice early presents for you guys this holiday season!

The FULL B line route, Bedford Park Boulevard - Brighton Beach, has been released!

Link to the download: http://www.bvestatio...dinfo.php?id=90

Mr Railfan had a little to say himself.

I will try and have an updated version with timers and new signals ready by tomorrow, along with some short turn scenarios.

As a side note, always remember to visit OpenBVE Connect for new updates that may not be featured on BVEStation. This is the only place you can find the updated R142 and R160, the updated (A)(JFK) to JFK, the R179 concept, and even the Path PA-4. So pay them a visit sometime.

UPDATE

Has it been a while or what? Well lets get started. Updated (B) and (D) lines, new signals added, nothing much different from the normal route. Also, the (N) is on the way.

Okay here is the (B) line To Brighton beach update. It features Timers and brightness Commands. If there are any bugs or glitches, let me know so i can release a patch for it promptly. The Download also features some goodies along with it.

Until everything is hosted here on bvestation, i will post links to download via Mediafire.com

MAIN FILE DOWNLOAD:  = (Route and Sound folder)

Here is the D line update. It features two routes, an NTT (automated announcements) and a Manual announcement (SMEE) version. Both routes run to Bay 50 Street via 6ave/Central park west Express, Concourse/west end Local. I will post a scenario pack sometime next week.

MAIN DOWNLOAD (Route, Sound folders)

DEPENDENCIES (Objects folder)

Same as the (B) line dependencies, which was posted above.

This is a High quality route and you may experience lag on lower end computers. If there are any bugs, please tell me.
This route was originally released by JayJay85 and Phantom909. I have modified the route and added in signals (Mostly made by Tjay, and some custom timers by me) and added in automated announcements . (Big thanks to Imanuel, BrIaNMeRcY1022, Lance and Bveguy for contributions with announcements.)

The (N)(Q)(W) line(s) will be released next week if everything goes according to plan.

Great job on that guys. Also, with the release of the (B), the (Q) came as well!!! How fitting for the occasion. And guess what? Not only is there one from 57 St, but one is from Astoria as well!!! And it has an optional Express!!!

This is both non-ficional route and ficional route of the Q line. The Non Fictional routes contain both SMEE (Manual announcements) and NTT (Automated - R160 - announcements) scenarios. Included is the : (Q) From 21 Street QueensBridge to Brighton beach via 6 ave Line to Brighton Beach. (Q) From 57 street - 7 avenue to Brighton Beach. And you thought I was done, didn't you  :P , shame on you. NYC-T-Diver and crew have started development on the SB (L) train. How great will that be to play?

This Will Be the thread for the development for the Canarise bound L that i have the task of building for every single one of ya! lol

Current Status - Up to Sutter Avenue

(Partners In Creating This route) - Mr.Railfan, And the OBC Team

Can't forget DJ and Mudwrestle with the R32 and R38. They have really come a long way, you can see above that DJ posted a video of the R38 (Q) via Brighton Express. Mudwrestle still has the R32.

Nope nope, not done yet. The R42 has started a little development as well, the train by ErrorMacro11 and some eye candy on it by Rstar. I can't wait for this train to be finished.

Ok, we are done now. But how about I leave you with this interesting video by bvefan. Yes, it is two combined videos, but you have to admit, it is pretty cool, and who knows, we may even see something like this in future updates of the game.

Yes, it has happened. The updated (N) and (Q) have been released. Also the (W) and the ( M ) West End Shuttle.

It's been uploaded.  DJ Hammers is posting it in the DL section as we speak. Big thanks to him for posting it for me. If you guys experience any bugs tell me so it can be fixed in a latter version. Please remember the routes are high quality, so expect lag on low end PC's. If you experience extreme lag try lowering your distance to 300M or less. You can also try running in windowed mode at 640x480 resolution.

Any Problems, please post here.

UPDATE

The Northbound (D) is now under development.

Guess.png

Now, a few words from developer ARome on his progress.

The Northbound (D) as of now is up to 9th Avenue
There will be scenarios added together with the package including G/O's Such as the D via the N, D FASTRACK to whitehall and west 4 street, and much more
Screenshots will be posted soon

Believe it or not, Mudwrestle has created a working R160 FIND!!! Right now it is only available for the (E) but things may change in the future depending on how far the project goes. He used Gorgor's R160 FIND creator to make it.

What isn't good without the download link and the instruction manual, eh?

http://www.mediafire.com/?6bqwqrqsvr5udwz

have a great day

Instruction:

Press 2 to change this is/next stop

Press 3 to change stops (think about r32/r38 flipdot changing)

Now this is something you don't see everyday. Knowing that I am a big 8 Av man, I love this video. Credit to DrSubway18. R68 (A) at Rockaway Blvd. It has happened before. Will it happen again in the future when the proposed R211s make their way onto the scene?

To end this update, OpenBVE Connect has had a few updates as well. This includes the R16R17 RedbirdR17/21 GELR21/22 RedbirdR188, and last but not least, the R17 Garbage. Here is a preview of the R17 Garbage.

I played openBVE today for the first time in almost a year. Observations:

1. There is a severe lag problem when I play. The screen will freeze for about a second at a time, and this happens every 10 seconds or so. I've tried tweaking the video settings (and fullscreen and window modes) with no luck. I have a computer system that handles FSX just fine, so I would think BVE wouldn't be overkill. Anyone know if there's a quick fix to this?

2. I'm really amazed with the amount of detail on the newer routes. I did the (H) shuttle and parts of the (D) and they are almost to the spot exact! The signals are working now too - including timers! The stations even have the staircases in the proper places....the only weird omission are the conductor's indication boards, which leads me to....

3. I can't make a proper station stop to save my life. If I ever promote to T/O, hitting the 10 car marker is definitely going to be my biggest learning curve.

4. What's with the lack of IRT routes? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, but apparently they've STILL only developed the (2) and (7), meanwhile most of the B-Div has been completed!

1. Turn down your viewing distance. Easiest fix for this. BVE doesn't use DirectX or OpenGL to compensate, so this leads to lag you wouldn't get with other games.

2. That's how things are going these days.

3. LOL!

4. IRT trains and routes are hung in development, but they are coming. Just need to be patient. The 2 via the 1 is moving smoothly.

Your ability to stop properly may be due to the fact that the program is lagging. A smooth frame rate is always a help in making proper stops lol. It could also be due to operating different kinds of stock, each built by different people. I usually go back into the train file and set the deceleration rate to 5 kilometers per hour per second (which is the emergency brake rate).

Thanks for the help! I changed the viewing distance to 100 and now the program is running flawlessly.

I also had a T/O come over to "post" me tonight and he taught me the proper braking mechanics for making station stops. I'm doing much much better now --- the only two stations still giving me trouble at 14 St coming S/B on the (Q), and Prospect to Church on the (B) (I overran that station 4 times in a row before I finally got it....the platform just sneaks up on you!). Otherwise I'm hitting the 10 car marker almost every single time now.

Perhaps I'll have a successful career as a T/O afterall!

I just played the  (F)  (Coney Island - 179th street in express). It is good.

The line is easy to drive even if there is many red light that made the trip not necessary smoth but I think that it is an overall case of the New York subway because of the numberous connection unlike other subway systems where line are more segregated.

I prefer the underground section rather than elevated because of the level of detail.

Elevated sections are not beautiful in BVE/OpenBVE.

The R160 are easy to drive and have a good braking.

I have just a question, I don't remember how to activate the ATS.

It is a bit annoying without it because I don't always know the speed limit.

My overall impression is positive.

Our routes don't use ATS, so you need to pay attention to the speed markers on the route. Those red signals you encountered are most likely timers, and you need to look for a GT "#" sign before them to know the speed you need to slow down to to clear them.

Ok this is why I couldn't activate it, despite what the game said.

Don't worry I pay attention to the sign but I didn't undertand all of them. Many red lights had speed limit, this is pretty useful.

Do you have a link where I could have the meaning of all sign ?

I am more used to Japanese and LU routes.

I will download the  (Q), what are the best routes ? (length, diversity, quality...)
