Mr Railfan Posted December 4, 2012 Share #1 Posted December 4, 2012 Does anyone know what's up with this upcoming train G.O? Coney Island-bound trains run express from Bergen St to Church Av Weekend, 11:30 PM Fri to 5 AM Mon, Jan 4 - 7 Trains stop at 7 Av. For service to Carroll St, 4 Av-9 St, 15 St-Prospect Park and Fort Hamilton Pkwy, take the to 7 Av or Church Av and transfer to a Jamaica-bound . For service from these stations take the to 7 Av or Bergen St and transfer to a Coney Island-bound . Alternate travel note: For service to 4 Av-9 St, transfer to the at Jay St-MetroTech. Note: Smith-9 Sts Station is closed for rehabilitation. http://travel.mtanyc...thod=getstatus4 Are the trains running through the lower level (foam alert) or are they bypassing carroll on the upper level and switching to the express track after smith 9 street? Also there's no free transfer at bergen street between uptown and downtown, so how can they transfer to a CI bound train?
Dj Hammers Posted December 4, 2012 Share #2 Posted December 4, 2012 The wording was modified: Coney Island-bound trains run express from Jay St-MetroTech to Church Av [/b]%5B/url%5D Weekend, 11:30 PM Fri to 5 AM Mon, Jan 4 - 7 Trains stop at 7 Av. So it is quite possible that trains will be running through the lower level (Without stopping)..... We will see.

Dj Hammers Posted December 5, 2012 Share #9 Posted December 5, 2012 Are the lights on Bergen Lower off? (If there are any there at all)
itmaybeokay Posted December 5, 2012 Share #10 Posted December 5, 2012 Are the lights on Bergen Lower off? (If there are any there at all) If you look under the platform from the train or the opposing platform you can see lights on in Bergen LL through the ventilation grates, so unless they turn them off for the G.O., there will be lights on in the station for all you crazy kids. Im suspecting the wont be running to Church then... That's the least of my worries, Im finally going to see the abandoned Bergen St platform! Planned Service Changes for: Saturday, January 05, 2013 No trains between Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts and Church Av you would be correct, sir

sovetskii52 Posted December 8, 2012 Share #18 Posted December 8, 2012 I just might be in New York on that weekend. Man, i am already crazy excited. Some light from the upper level does go into the lower level i believe. So, the lower level platform should be visible.
