Look like one hell of a station. I can see a wide escalator and the platform look wide. It's a two track, one island deal.

For me the retirement of the old loop station can't come soon enough. Although I realize that the qualities of the old station's construction can never be duplicated operationally it is a nightmare. I was on a 1 train last week that overshot the gap fillers by a matter of inches. We could not back up so we had to go on through without making the station stop since the gap fillers would not operate. What a pain! The screech of the train's wheels rounding the sharp curve is not music to my ears either. It will be interesting to see how many riders use the free transfer to the R/W/N lines at Whitehall St.(although those using unlimited Metrocards have that now since the stations are so close toghether).

I dont Think South Ferry is getting Platform Screen Door. As you may heard above. The (1) already overshot the the gap fillers so imagine the doors alignment. And if they do, I'll call a protest!!!

Well if the New South Ferry Station has screen doors well we will I to live with it because new stations has lots of new thigs installed. I heard that when the (7) exetendision it will have the screen doors on the new stations.

Yeah, I believed they are deferred to somewhere in the future.

Look at the pictures, there seems to be no provision for the doors.

Good. We don't need them. Focus instead on taking excess heat out of stations and putting it to good use. Maybe use it to power the lighting via thermo-reactive converter.
