RapidoNewLook Posted October 14, 2020 Share #1 Posted October 14, 2020 Hi, I'm looking for photographs of buses running in Brooklyn from about 10-15 years ago, buses such as Orion V CNG NFI C40LF Nova RTS Black backed Orion VII, VII NG Orion VII CNG I'm not planning on doing anything with these pictures, I just want to relive those days in my memory. Thanks for any pics that are posted!
NBTA Posted October 14, 2020 Share #2 Posted October 14, 2020 Google is a good site to look up some old photos, but if people have some pics on here still, then that's great. It's crazy that 2010 was 10 years ago.
R10 2952 Posted October 15, 2020 Share #3 Posted October 15, 2020 nycsubway.org has a bus section, plenty of stuff there.
GojiMet86 Posted October 15, 2020 Share #4 Posted October 15, 2020 I suggest BusTalk: http://forum.bustalk.info/. Yeah, it's still there. The galleries are here: http://gallery.bustalk.info/
NewFlyer 230 Posted October 16, 2020 Share #5 Posted October 16, 2020 TTMG is also a good website to use for old photos. It has a mix of old and new but you will definitely find a lot of old stuff on there.
RapidoNewLook Posted October 16, 2020 Author Share #6 Posted October 16, 2020 Thanks everyone for the help. I'll definitely have to check those sites out one of these days. @NBTA, you're right, time really flies!
MHV9218 Posted October 18, 2020 Share #7 Posted October 18, 2020 Seems like all my old photos on this site got lost to the hack, so why not throw up a few throwbacks? These are all around 10 years old, mostly from Downtown Brooklyn, which used to be the spot for DD50s... My shots from the rest of the borough are 2012-2015. @Cait Sith had all this ground covered before me.

God, that 8866 was a rocket...and 8850. 8981 was a good one too ugh.
RapidoNewLook Posted October 18, 2020 Author Share #9 Posted October 18, 2020 @MHV9218, thanks a lot! This is the kind of response I was hoping for. Those Orion VII CNGs were my favorites running out of JG back in the day, Always enjoyed riding them on my home routes, the B9, B11 and B68.

Yup, chose some of those for a reason lol...except that 8809, which was SLOW but that paint scheme was one of the older blackbacks. I rode that out of LGA towards the end, meandering along the Q67... I don't think I have photos of the O7 CNGs in the old scheme on those routes, probably more from post-2012 in the new scheme. Have some photos of the 68 by PPW I think.
R10 2952 Posted October 19, 2020 Share #11 Posted October 19, 2020 (edited) Downtown Brooklyn is where I used to always encounter the 91xx Cummins-powered RTSes, a lot smoother and quieter. Too bad there weren't more of those... I think NJT had a bunch of them at one point. Edited October 19, 2020 by R10 2952

Definitely remembered 8850 when it was on KB years before it touched Brooklyn grounds. Riding it on the Bx10 to go to school and back home. Great ride and took off great!
