Old Brooklyn Bus Photos

RapidoNewLook

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm looking for photographs of buses running in Brooklyn from about 10-15 years ago,  buses such as

Orion V CNG

NFI C40LF

Nova RTS

Black backed Orion VII, VII NG

Orion VII CNG

I'm not planning on doing anything with these pictures, I just want to relive those days in my memory. Thanks for any pics that are posted!

Seems like all my old photos on this site got lost to the hack, so why not throw up a few throwbacks? These are all around 10 years old, mostly from Downtown Brooklyn, which used to be the spot for DD50s... My shots from the rest of the borough are 2012-2015. @Cait Sith had all this ground covered before me.

Yup, chose some of those for a reason lol...except that 8809, which was SLOW but that paint scheme was one of the older blackbacks. I rode that out of LGA towards the end, meandering along the Q67...

@MHV9218, thanks a lot! This is the kind of response I was hoping for. Those Orion VII CNGs were my favorites running out of JG back in the day, Always enjoyed riding them on my home routes, the B9, B11 and B68.

For sure. Those were fun buses. I don't think I have photos of the O7 CNGs in the old scheme on those routes, probably more from post-2012 in the new scheme. Have some photos of the 68 by PPW I think.

Downtown Brooklyn is where I used to always encounter the 91xx Cummins-powered RTSes, a lot smoother and quieter.  Too bad there weren't more of those...

I think NJT had a bunch of them at one point.

Definitely remembered 8850 when it was on KB years before it touched Brooklyn grounds. Riding it on the Bx10 to go to school and back home. Great ride and took off great!

That bus was in WA for 2 1/2 years before it got sent to KB on 9/7/1998.
