Forest Glen Posted February 8, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted February 8, 2009 Yep. That was Newark Broad Street. It's not as cool as Newark-Penn.
B35 via Church Posted February 9, 2009 Share #6 Posted February 9, 2009 Nice pictures there, fam. Don't know how much the fares are, but I've got to ride on that bad boy... hell, I need to stop sleeping on NJ, period.... Did you manage to ride out to Atlantic City, or did you hang around Newark-Broad just for the pics ?
kaback9 Posted February 9, 2009 Share #7 Posted February 9, 2009 ACES fares start at $44 one way and that is for the earliest train. I want to take a joy ride on it but a $100 RT is not really something I want to spend when I can just do a NJT/SEPTA/NJT shuffle or NJT/RIVER LINE/PATCO/NJT shuffle. metsfan Posted February 12, 2009 Share #10 Posted February 12, 2009 Some more info on the ACES multilevels. They were part of the second delivery phase. We are now nearing the end of the 3rd delivery phase and the 4th phase should be complete by summer's end giving them a total 0f 400. - A
Harry Posted February 12, 2009 Share #11 Posted February 12, 2009 Smoking photos. Me and my girlfriend are actually thinking about trying out the service in three weeks if we decide not to drive Atlantic City.

Me and my girlfriend are actually thinking about trying out the service in three weeks if we decide not to drive Atlantic City. Yea, my woman and i are seriously considering it as well when it gets a lil warmer. It's been a long while since there's been non stop direct express service from nyc. I am confident that it will make money and perhaps inspire similar service in other parts of the country. - A

I have high hopes for the service but it failed once before so lets let things play out, rumor is some trains only had two folks other than buffs riding it for fun. That's because it was filled with officials, press, and people involved with the project. I will call amtrak tomorrow & get the real picture. - A
kaback9 Posted February 13, 2009 Share #15 Posted February 13, 2009 I'm not talking about the inital run I am talking about the trains the rest of the weekend, there were lots of trains that were only full because there were buffs onboard, lets wait and see how this weekends ridership is.
