  1. To fill in for the Nova they sent to LGA for training. The post is in the same page.
  2. It's literally the same as the recent weekend G.O. but with the added shuttle between Times Square & Hudson Yards to accomodate riders heading to the New York Auto Show that weekend.
  3. I counted 99 with the following: BP units: 8964-8966, 8968, 8970, 8972-8973, 8975, 8977-8979, 8983, 8985, 8987-9005, 9007-9009 (35) JFK units: 9010--9014, 9016-9017, 9019-9020, 9022, 9024-9025, 9027-9031, 9033-9049, 9051-9053, 9056, 9060-9061, 9063-9064, 9067-9068, 9070, 9074, 9078, 9080-9081, 9083, 9086, 9111, 9114, 9117-9118, 9125, 9127, 9131, 9134, 9138, 9150-9152, 9167 (64) Anyone feel free to correct the overall list.
  4. The Bronx units still look pretty good and run well. Sometimes the cosmetic shape doesn’t tell the whole story. I know a lot of buses that looked bad were ones than ran better.
  5. Alright, just keep it in the random thoughts thread instead of cluttering other threads here. It’s getting a bit annoying seeing you spam the threads with misc comments that don’t have much to do with the topic at hand.
  6. Check the fleet & depots thread. This is the scrap thread.
  7. Riders are going to complain about the lack of weekend service on the 63rd St Line and I doubt the wants to put money to have the be extended and run full-length trains again on weekends.
  8. You don't need to react to almost every post. Let's try to minimize the filler here so that posts of moves are not lost in the shuffle.
  9. There's more on the Far Rock routes today. 3 are on the 22 and 35 each.
  10. That doesn’t answer my inquiry as to if the 45-foot MCIs are a benefit or deterrent to normal service on the Fairview lines. You only touched how it’s no problem in terms of managing equipment at the garage. I’m more curious as to how service has gotten better or worse with the 45-footers over the 40-footers, with everyone arguing for both points.
  11. Most likely there for repairs as those two haven’t seen service in over a week. It is possible they’ll run on loan like 4682 did last week.
  12. I think it can be argued that having the 45 Foot units there is an issue. It didn’t seem that problematic when the 40 foot coaches were there, but with the 9000s and 22000s there the problems with them may of become a bit more noticeable. This is just a hypothesis as I don’t have anything that can back it up or dispute it. Hopefully those in the know do have better arguments.
  13. IIRC, the 41 is a JFK route. Far Rock has the 11, 21, 22, and 35.
  14. Doesn’t mean much when both depots share the same bus pool.
  15. So 5928, the bus that was rear ended by a minivan back in July, has been repaired and put back in service. The bottom rear was replaced.
  16. 3698, 3700, 3708, 3748, 3751, 3756, 3762 are the active ones.
  17. Both buses are still in property. 3198 is at a train yard in Brooklyn. Pictures of the bus were shown when the had their holiday pop-up sale in December.
  18. Supposedly the Fare Free trial will continue for the routes that are free right now, with the article writer speculating that it might end in late September. This comes at a time where lawmakers are pushing to make more routes free (15 more in the proposal) because of congestion pricing. https://www.silive.com/news/2024/03/mta-fare-free-bus-pilot-to-continue-on-5-select-nyc-routes-including-1-on-staten-island.html
  19. None of the new ones are pending scrap. The only one in the scrap lot is a 2018 unit: 7548.
  20. Nothing new. They always sent their buses to JA & QV whenever they needed buses to be repaired.
  21. Wow. Thanks for pointing out that major error I made.
