  1. R44 401 is retired/stripped of parts.
  2. Yeah our M7’s/M8’s did this as well (the M7’s still do it at certain stations). It has to do with the wheel counter thinking the train isn’t at the station cause it’s off by a couple of feet. Kinda surprised this wasn’t corrected when the train was still doing its 30 day test, if I recall an employee here also said they gave up halfway through and just made manual announcements to 207th.
  3. You hit all the points. I for one would love all door boarding, but it will cause farebeating to get more out of control than it already is. I was on the Bx19 earlier and not a single person paid for 14 stops. It’s outrageous.
  4. A good heavy duty backpack, there’s a lot of training material/papers you need to carry.
  5. And the only reason it got enough of a political backing is because of the 1% of car hater nonsense in the city. And quite frankly, ever since the pandemic, congestion in Manhattan has been non-existent except in select places where they've downgraded streets from 5 lanes to 2 or 1.
  6. Why would you say that? Every basis for congestion pricing that I've seen, from both Twitter and public documents, is to fund the .
  7. i think 9197's body is at Kawasaki in Yonkers.
  8. For one, do a better job at enforcing the fare. This “soft” approach isn’t cutting it. Increase patrols in the subway, increase the fine for farebeating, redo all the turn styles (and replace with the big ones that go in a circle), expand eagle team enforcement to all lines with checkpoints at the biggest known farebeating areas, etc.
  9. And it's a slap in the face to us who do pay that we have to pay MORE for congestion pricing because they can't figure out a farebeating solution.
  10. Except the problem still stands, farebeating has gotten out of control, and the TA’s only response is to make the system free?? No! The taxpayers will take a hit with the increase of taxes, ON TOP of already high taxes in the first place.
  11. Everyone who accepted an offer, I strongly encourage you to always be on time. Remember the saying, if your early your on time, if your on time your late, and you get the idea.
  12. Hello, welcome aboard. The only thing you need to get is a anti-slip boot, in black colors, with a 6 inch heel and 90 degree angle. For training, it will all depended on what instructors you get, but it will be an 8 hour day where you will learn the equipment and the railroads lines. I do advise you to start studying each line and the stops in order, from forwards to back.
  13. I wouldn't say Tuskegee is bad with maintenance, but the fact that most of their routes are 24/7 lines spanning the entirety of Manhattan with little to no breaks, stuff is bound to keep breaking down. Coupled with the fact that every bus I see has some sort of damage, the accidents don't help.
  14. So, they are screwing over other passengers who want service to return ASAP, because they can't be bothered to board a shuttle bus? In what universe does that make any sense.
  15. Is it true the only reason this project is taking longer then it needs to is because Roosevelt Island politicians didn’t want to have no train service on the island?
