  1. The paper is really good and surely describes the situation and demographics accurately. I like how she mentions the role that transportation plays, and why its necessary.
  2. I live in the area, No one really advocates for better service. This causes to take advantage of these Silent Neighborhoods, and literally shut down the crap outta the Dyre Avenue line. Not only does this happen with trains, but Buses too. Bx21 bus service is deplorable as it is and the bus is full to the brim. Service is infrequent and unreliable. Bx21 should have been chosen to be articulated. The East 180 St Bus Stop almost always has a block long line of people waiting, with buses crushloaded in both directions during any time of day. No one in Morris Park advocates for service.
  3. I seriously want to know, who was the Genius that scrapped Pelham Parkway on the , it is disgusting to even be inside that Station tbh. Whenever I am there, I try to hold my breath as much as possible.
  4. I wonder what seems so difficult about ACTUALLY taking time to clean those buses.
  5. Man, you're late to the Party. Those two buses have been unwrapped since late April.
  6. The city has been on a Hot Plate ever since put up those ads on the front. Supposedly 2 weeks are left of the campaign, but I really do agree on who agreed to put them up. June 2018 Board Meeting: New Rule! Ban anything that has the word sex in it.
  7. Google is your new pet. Take good care of it, and let it help you when you most need it. If you can't find answers there (after 3 [Tries] attempts, then ask here.
  8. Everyone at the probably has a dirty joke associated with the ad.
  9. It is yet unknown, I hope they do decide in re-opening it.
  10. The and car swap had nothing to do with politics. The and swap was because of the getting CBTC.
  11. I really do not really care. As long as I have a vehicle that takes me from Point A to Point B it really doesn't make a difference to me, while the Bus moves, has Heating in the winter, and AC in the Summer, I am fine. All these new buses will be old someday. The XN40's are already turning 2 and we just got them the other day. The 1200's were just received the other day and almost 9, in an agency this big, buses will be old and nothing can be replaced overnight. Yes the RTS has been in service longer than originally intended, yes they aren't up to code on the most recent ADA Standards, and yes the Fuel Efficiency on those buses aren't prestine, but you can never expect an agency looking after 5,800 Buses with fleet expansion planned to not have old buses still crawling. Even small county agencies are up to this day dealing with older buses. Yes it is a public agency where you can voice your concerns, but fleet assignments happen where there is need. You can't take away new buses from a depot that is in need for new buses to send it elsewhere to please others. Many New Yorkers don't have a problem riding them anyway. Look at the train for example. People began complaining over the R32's being very stingy to ride on, swapped a few sets with the , without it being a necessity. The never went 100% R160 anyway, and now those same R160's sent from the , guess where they have to go back again? Yes back to the Nassau St Line. Now due to lengthening of the train, it is now getting R46's which are younger and in better shape, and probably share 5 R179 sets with the and the R32's running on the returning to where they came from in the first place. Which comes back to this, buses cannot be rolled around the city like dice, because 1 person wants new buses on their route. Sometimes those new buses are there for planned future +SBS+ routes, or to increase Bus capacity and prevent Bus Shortages *cough* Gun Hill *cough* West Farms *cough* eventually those depots with old RTS's will get even newer buses with the WIFI, USB Charging Ports, and Information Screens. Its just a matter of patience and acceptance. Therefore ENY is right, if it were not for this platform, most of us would be like the Papparazi's all around the 5 boroughs.
  12. They are getting the 2nd batch of XD60's by January 2019. Those 1200 Series got a real beating.
  13. @Via Garibaldi 8 Whats' your Insight on the 1200 Series LFSA's on the M15 +SBS+
  14. NTT's have regenerative braking actually. It would be nice if they experimented with older cars.
  15. Yeah, many people did say the same, and I agree. Should've done better with 181 Street.
  16. That station just got out of a rehab in 2016.
  17. Hey Guys! Feel free to list a number of stations that you feel it is long overdue for a rehab.
  18. Sadly, that will not happen. The Cuomo Scheme is to Identify the train sets that have modified seating arrangements only.
  19. is really on it with the new LED Lighting and Arrow Mats.
  20. They really screwed up on the fleet number of 6113 when it got wrapped for +SBS+. Is it the way the numbers come out or do they people incharge don't give a crap or just suck at labeling?
  21. About time those 1200 series leave the M15 +SBS+ It was really pitiful seeing all other +SBS+ routes being upgraded and the M15 staying behind.
