  1. You gotta be f**king kidding me. They are complaining about keeping bike traffic off their street while 13th street alone Between Avenue A - 8th Avenue has 162 f**king Bike docks less than a block apart. You could give a bike to the entire neighborhood with 162 bikes. They should not be complaining when they have a surplus of bikes and then contradicting what they've been asking for.
  2. Those a**holes should be the last ones speaking. I am already up to the top with these mortal idiots who think that the world revolves around them, unfortunately it doesn't. Complaining about their "Pristine" Street, while it is a public street Maintained with OUR TAXPAYER DOLLARS, something that none of them even care to educate themselves about. After all its a public street and it was built to carry traffic, not to be used as their f*cking driveway. Seriously, even relocating a light pole is that disturbing to them. I find nothing wrong with bike lanes, and also whats wrong with cars? Its a street, its made for vehicles, if it bothers them that much, why not turn the damn street into a damn 12 Block Plaza and keep it to themselves!
  3. Jesus Christ, MJQ is a hungry b*tch when it comes to new buses... They seriously wanna get everything.
  4. But when it comes to reducing lanes, closing streets, or bombarding bike lanes. They do it in a matter of hours..
  5. Because the DOT wants to be lazy and spend 5 years adding TSP to the traffic lights, which is something that can be done in months. The DOT Slacks in general. Tell me how it can take up to 3 months or more to re install a new light pole?
  6. Who in the f*ck is incharge of overseeing these buses when repainted? It's like if they had kids repainting some of these buses. If a simple white Bus with a Blue Stripe isn't properly painted, I would Imagine the Cuomo scheme buses once their time would come..
  7. There are actually very few of GH's original batch with WIFI.
  8. And they no depot should. I wish Gun Hill had the same dedication to clean and wash their buses just as they do for WIFI.
  9. Yeah its possible, just that they have to be wired through the roof like the 2015-2016 XD60's. It isn't that difficult to open up a few holes and run wires, especially when your able to open the panels. I believe everything after the 1200 series LFSA is getting WIFI and USB Charging Ports.
  10. The new screens on the R160's can easily display that at no such cost for having to actually modify anything too intense on the train.
  11. 718 and 719 both got unwrapped from +SBS+ 3 weeks ago, now they have joined the real workforce. Time for them to be out 24/7
  12. has these routes with potential of providing a wide range of options to get to places and they are too busy ripping their hair off that they don't even realize that what they have infront of them can be a powerful tool for good, but no they screw over that route making it deplorable and making people stop using it to the point where they do their go 2 move CUT... CUT... DISCONTINUED!
  13. Excellent Job on the S89 modification, it would be great having it that way.
  14. I'd have a new presentable station before having any ADA Accessibility work done. Reason for my decision, Why perform ADA Work on a decrepit station, even though I would prefer if would do ADA Accessibility at the same time of the station's rehab, because if talks about a delay in the opening, the station could open first and then the elevator can open up a couple of weeks, or months later.
  15. I have seen a few school kids hanging from the Yellow Cord, doesn't surprise me...
  16. Sometimes there are these in between the wall and sword situations that leave you absolutely no choice.
  17. And I stand by my point when it comes to Deplorable service at the The 2:41pm Bx36 arriving at Bryant Av, E 174 St is 23 Minutes late...
  18. Next Stop: 2 Broadway, I'll give them an earful of what an angry customer sounds like...
  19. I wonder if any of these people have seen a bus or a train during off peak hours, seriously people get tired of having to wait 30+ minutes at a Bus Stop during certain times of day making them opt on taking Uber or Lyft, degrading the route further more to the point where not even a fly is seen on the bus. These supposedly "Improvements" kill these routes which causes no one to take them, promping the to think that no one at all uses buses at that time, automatically cutting service without identifying root cause based on the loss of ridership. Their mentality is "We don't give any flying f*cks, we'll go with our plan anyways."
  20. Similar thing here... I hate the fact about the Mid Day construction on the and ending at 3:30pm, kids coming out of school who need the trains to get home sometimes have no choice. I was forced to stand on a crowded platform for 45 Minutes waiting for the first local uptown to stop, I had to squish my way into the doors to get in becauase CROWDED PLATFORM + CROWDED TRAIN = CHAOS. needs to rethink their work times because it has become a big inconvenience for people. The demographics are changing and is oblivious to change because their go 2 option is "We've always done it this way" but you can't be using data from 30+ years ago to state your point, or plan scheduling in 2018.
  21. Manhattan Buses have a good Market due to the Broadway Shows which I like that fact. Don't get too hype cuz 5411 got wrapped, it may be the only and last bus to do so. Many ways of advertising are coming up and facilitate advertisers to use them. Outfront media is incharge of Bus ads, and they offer all the options, window wraps, entire bus wrap, rear wrap, king size ads, front ads, over the window ads, etc. But many of those options aren't opted by the advertisers. In the past 5 years Bus ad has seen a decline in numbers, going down 10% each year, Technology renders Bus Ads useless and much more cheaper to advertise without the strict Guidelines has in place with advertising. Manhattan has a very solid Market for advertising because mostly Broadway Shows, and NBC Shows get advertised on them, knowing that those Buses go through touristic sites in the city, and Manhattan being the hotspot for bus ads. is moving on to digital/interior advertising because it benefits them more, only gets a 45% of what the advertiser pays for the ad while Outfront gets the other 55%. With Digital advertising and interior ads on Buses the gets the full amount of money that the advertiser pays to display the ad, making it a much more profitable deal for the . Outfront also is incharge of ads on Subway Cars and Station Ad Panels.
  22. MTA has been very arrogant in terms of wrapping the new buses. They did state that interior ads and the ads displayed on the new screens will make up for revenue that used to be displayed on the exterior of the buses. Exterior ads were unfortunately an icon, which in todays world and in the future will cease to exist with all the upcoming technology bringing new forms of ad display. Also the numbers for advertising on buses has been going on a steady decline with advertisers finding better and much more profitable ways to market.
  23. Hope for new Managament and a turn around to the culture and work ethic in the depot.
  24. It is because they want nothing but new buses to run them down to the ground. They got those brand new XD60's in 2013, best performing and appealing. Fast Forward to 2018, they look like crap. Even West Farms has beat Gun Hill at Maintanance and Cleanliness. Gun Hill doesn't even bother to have someone take a look inside ANY of those buses... If I were a dignitary, I'd be highly concerned with my constituents riding in those horrid conditions.
  25. There is no excuse for a dirty bus. Lack of Cleanliness is noticeable, there are people who just see the atrocities on those buses, and some even refuse to sit. Gun Hill Depot for a long time has been getting away with their mischief of running buses to the ground and not cleaning them, while the state is shuttering businesses down for unsanitary conditions. Why don't they take a look at those buses before they pretend that their agencies are very professional and have high quality cleanliness standards.
