  1. Express. This is a nice route, but I have a few questions: Is there any demand for this service? Maybe my QBx1 would run to Jackson Heights, then Flushing, and the QBx2 would go to LGA. You'd want to get onto the highway WAY before Mott Haven. Maybe Tremont, or even Kingsbridge? Is this a route or an Bus route? Is this an express or local route? Is it based in Queens or Bronx?
  2. Yes! I was going to add that in, but too late to edit.
  3. @KK 6 Ave Local @Around the Horn @mrsman Another thought with this is to connect the to Manhattan and have the only on the N Queens Line. In that case we’d have: 2 Av Exp / Randalls Island / North Queens Exp / College Point 125 Crosstown / 2 Av-Randalls Island / North Queens Local / Bayside Some Rush hour s go via N Queens Exp and the middle track on the Bayside Branch. These are branded as <V> Culver Local / Crosstown / 21 St / 79 St Tun / 2 Av Lcl / 125 Crosstown 2 Av Lcl / 79 St Tun / 36 Av / Northern / Flushing So the trunk lines are: (Bolded = 4 tracks) North Queens Line <V> 2 Av Line Hanover-72 <V> 125-106 86-125 Hanover-96 63-125 Northern Blvd Line 3 Av Line And the branches/tunnels/bridges are: (Bolded = 3 tracks) 79 St Tunnel Randalls Island Viaduct <V> 125 St Crosstown <V> Bayside Branch <V> Northeast Queens Branch LGA Loop Thoughts on this?
  4. Oh, one more note, s run to Fordham. The is one loop track.
  5. I'd say have the SE Queens line be the following: (X) 125th/Bway - 2 Av Exp - Fulton Exp - SE Queens Local If you want service not on Astoria Bl, then maybe run it via a new 79 St Tunnel and via 36 Av then Northern, then merging with the , and running to Bayside. So 2 Av Local - Randalls Island or 79 St Tun - North Queens Exp - College Point/Whitestone Crosstown Local - 21 St - North Queens Local - Flushing 125 St/Bway - 2 Av Local - 79 St Tun or Randalls Island - Northern Bl - Bayside (X) 2 Av Exp - Fulton Exp - SE Queens Local 2 Av is 4 tracks the whole line. 79 St, 63 St, and Randalls Island are all 2 tracks. Northern is 2 tracks. North Queens is 4 tracks to Flushing, then each branch (CP/Whitestone and Bayside) is 2 tracks. Thoughts?
  6. The run together under Astoria Blvd to 114 St, before stopping at Citi Field and Flushing. 47th/73rd should be Hazen, you are right. 82nd could be at 83rd, then have exits at 82nd, 83rd, 84th, and 85th, then eliminate 88. 101st could be moved to 100, eliminating it is not great. Thoughts about the or the NE Queens section?
  7. So, R32s no more? Will there be a R42-esque final run? If so, which line?
  8. from which depot? But are they actually using XN60s? CNG tanks exploding? What? That;s how it works? I don't think so. Also, didn't FB just get a load of XD60s from Bus?
  9. QBx1 Eastchester Depot, uses MCI D4500CL and D4500. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1s3qOsuT46EbAnAeWCtTwi7l2Gve-jReF&usp=sharing Norwood - Fordham - West Farms - LGA - Flushing. Thoughts @danig1220 @NBTA?
  10. North Queens Line: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hwnlRSYt7ti9YX9vNEx79I7adCM_kQziuYbrOwQetw8/edit?usp=sharing This was also posted in the SAS Disscussion Thread. Thoughts @RR503 @Around the Horn @Union Tpke?
  11. I have a similar proposal: NORTH QUEENS LINE: LOCAL EXPRESS LOCAL s are extended: 41 Av 36 Av Broadway 27 Av Crescent St 31 St Steinway St 47 St 73 St 82 St runs to all LGA terminals. 88 St 94 St 101 St 108 St Citi Field Flushing : runs with from Hanover Sq to 96 St ( runs via new lower level from 96 to 63), then: 102 St-1 Av via Wards Island Bridge Randalls Island via a new tunnel to: 24 Av 27 Av then makes express stops on the North Queens line (see ) to Flushing, then via Linden Pl (tunnel) 32 Av via Whitestone Expy (median) Linden Pl 25 Av 20 Av 14 Av via Cross Island Pkwy (viaduct) 149 St Francis Lewis Blvd Utopia Pkwy Fort Totten : starts at 125 St/Bway, then runs via the to 106 St, then via the to 27 Av, then via the to Flushing, then: 32 Av via 32 Av (tunnel) Parsons Blvd 148 St 154 St 160 St 167 St Utopia Pkwy Clearview Expy via Clearview Expy (viaduct) 35 Av 39 Av Bayside LIRR This was also posted in the Proposals thread. Thoughts @mrsman @KK 6 Ave Local @Around the Horn?

AND BUS SERVICE IS VIA THE HH BRIDGE. USE THE M100.
  13. This is on the weekend, so service is a non-issue. The terminates at Roosevelt Island because the switch replacement part of this is at 21 St. You can turn trains at Roosevelt Island - see this map: https://www.vanshnookenraggen.com/_index/docs/NYC_full_trackmap.pdf
  14. While I will admit that some of my proposals are insane, I definetley think that some of them are not totally crazy. Maybe for the above , If it instead ran from 57-7th on the , then via the , it would be "better" by your standards.
  15. Only the would run triple tracked - the layout would be the following SB - DOWNTOWN LOCAL NB - UPTOWN LOCAL SB - DOWNTOWN LOCAL NB - MIDDLE SB - MIDDLE NB - UPTOWN LOCAL Between stations, there would be sidings in the middle track so that NB and SB s can pass. Would that work?
  16. 108 St Crosstown / 2 Av Local / North Queens Local 110 St station rebuilt as a three-track termination station (s stay on outside tracks, s terminate on middle track) LIMITED RUSH HOUR TRAINS REVERSE AT 110 ST AND GO/COME VIA THE LINE TO/FROM SOUTH FERRY Amsterdam Av new tunnel under 108 St Central Pk W connection to 110 St Lenox Av station under Central Park, exit only to 110 St 5 Av tunnel shifts to 110 St Lexington Av 2 Av connection to 106th, no track connection 102 St-1 Av via Wards Island Bridge Randalls Island via a new viaduct to the Hell Gate Bridge, then to a new viaduct over Ditmars Blvd 21 St 31 St Steinway St 45 St Hazen St 77 St new tunnel under LGA LGA Terminal A LGA Terminal B LGA Terminal C-D via a viaduct in the median of the GC Pkwy 114 St via a viaduct in the median of the Whitestone Expy Citi Field - Shea Rd College Point Blvd Linden Pl 25 Av 20 Av 14 Av via a viaduct in the median of the Cross Island Pkwy 149 St Francis Lewis Blvd Utopia Pkwy 212 St - Fort Totten Thoughts @LaGuardia Link N Tra @Union Tpke @RR503?
  17. In the Cross-City Line plan, the Main Line runs from JFK (select trains from Rockaway Park), then via the RBB to the LIRR Main Line, then (because Penn Station is operating over-capacity) to Grand Central (see above). Thoughts on that?
  18. My only thought was that since this could be used as a JFK "Express". If we kept the as the main JFK line, then having it run QBL Local is fine. Again, to save time for JFK users. It could just run via the . After Lex-63, though, it would run via the under Central Park, and then after 7 Av, it is only one more block to 8 Av. Would it be better to then run it via 8 Av Exp instead of CPW Local? Thoughts now? Also, any thoughts on the Cross-City Line proposal?
  19. Rockaway Beach Branch / QBL Express / 63 St Express / 8 Av Local Under this plan, the is rerouted to go to 96th St at all times, and the runs local from on QBL. So, QBL would be: EXPRESS LOCAL Howard Beach-JFK terminates on the middle tracks, station rebuilt Liberty Av connection to Rockaway Blvd, via Rockaway Beach Branch after here Atlantic Av Jamaica Av connection to Woodhaven Blvd Myrtle Av - Forest Park Union Tpke Yellowstone Blvd - South Forest Hills Alderton St - Rego Park 62 Av/Austin St Woodhaven Blvd rebuilt as a fully express station Jackson Heights at the 36 St Junction, the connects with the lower level 63 St tracks, and runs express to Lex-63 Lex-63 merges with tracks, then a new station at 5 Av then, via a new tunnel under 63 St to: Central Park W connection to 59 St, merges with tracks, then makes all stops to 145 St. 145 St
  20. Sorry for tagging. The Lower Montauk is NOT part of the Cross-City Line, however. I thought that it could be, but decided against it, for the reasons you mentioned here and earlier. I do think, however that with the right service patterns, you could easily have ridership. Thoughts on what service patterns?
  21. @Deucey @Cait Sith @Harry @SevenEleven or one of the other mods, can you ban this user now, please? They are blatantly violating many NYCTF policies.

  23. @ren51113 as this topic has not been posted on in 11 years, maybe post in the Random Thoughts Thread! @Cait Sith @Deucey @Harry @SevenEleven or one of the other mods, maybe shut this thread? Thanks!
