NX Express Posted February 16, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 16, 2010 On the to Astoria G.O., what has happened to the R68 rollsigns? Yesterday, on one train, I saw a rollsign saying from Midtown-57 St/7 Av to CI, a (, and 6 rollsigns from Midtown-57 St/6 Av to CI. Why are all the signs so messed up??
NX Express Posted February 16, 2010 Author Share #2 Posted February 16, 2010 68 roll signs are a pain in the ass to change and sometimes the crews can't finish in time or don't get a chance at all to change signs. Why change signs that don't need to be changed (like the route sign)? Anyway, WHY NOT just use R160s;)?

engineerboy6561 Posted February 18, 2010 Share #18 Posted February 18, 2010 Funny. However, that actually is not that bad; all but one of the rollsigns read some form of on them. About a week ago, I saw the R32 train at Broadway-Lafayette while waiting for the . As it pulled out, I counted four readings of 145 St to Brighton Beach, three yellow (B)s from Queensboro Plaza to Brighton Beach, a from 168 St to Brighton Beach, and both a and a from 57 St-7 Av to Brighton Beach. The only thing that train needed was a to 71 Av!
