LRG Posted December 22, 2010 Share #1 Posted December 22, 2010 http://mta.info/nyct/maps/subwaymap.pdf The map coincides with the opening of the Jay Street - MetroTech complex and the renaming of Broadway - Nassau Street to Fulton Street. However, something is extremely wrong with the map...notice anything missing? (Hint: check the upper right corner)

mark1447 Posted December 22, 2010 Share #3 Posted December 22, 2010 You mean the Key is missing. Maybe becuse this is the online version, while the printed ones may have it. At least they corrected some errors with bus routes incorrect and line. However 1 error I spot is that the IND is still blue.
Guest lance25 Posted December 22, 2010 Share #4 Posted December 22, 2010 They also missed the bus bubble at Jay St-MetroTech (formerly Borough Hall). It still has the old name and doesn't reference the .
Princelex Posted December 22, 2010 Share #5 Posted December 22, 2010 Will these maps make their way onto the trains as well or will it just be something that passengers get when they need a map at the stations?
TwoTimer Posted December 22, 2010 Share #6 Posted December 22, 2010 You think they should publish a "night service" map as well?
mark1447 Posted December 22, 2010 Share #7 Posted December 22, 2010 You think they should publish a "night service" map as well? If they would then they may have to knock off the Railroad side of the map. Maybe online or a separate map maybe? Or make some changes similar to the bus map which has No Sat/Sun icon for example. NX Express Posted December 22, 2010 Share #8 Posted December 22, 2010 The key is back up. BTW, they should really bring back the service guide!
w8Hou Posted December 23, 2010 Share #9 Posted December 23, 2010 The key is back up. BTW, they should really bring back the service guide! they still have not fix.... - 242 St-Van Cortlandt Park bubble missing Bee Line Bus route 1X - Jay St-MetroTech bubble missing bus route B62 - 96 St missing accessible symbol - Rockaway Park Shuttle still has the blue line, should have gray color. ---------------------------------------------------------------- You think they should publish a "night service" map as well? If they would then they may have to knock off the Railroad side of the map.Maybe online or a separate map maybe? Or make some changes similar to the bus map which has No Sat/Sun icon for example. MTA is so lazy to do it. There is website for the weekend subway service change map that you can download on the web for FREE: http://subwayweekender.com/ and the guy has an app for $0.99 The KickMap has the night map for $2.00 only on iphone. NX Express Posted December 23, 2010 Share #10 Posted December 23, 2010 - 96 St missing accessible symbol I think they haven't updated the accessibility symbols in a long time: IIRC 57 Street has elevators now.
w8Hou Posted December 23, 2010 Share #11 Posted December 23, 2010 I think they haven't updated the accessibility symbols in a long time: IIRC 57 Street has elevators now. The 57 St-7 Av does not have elevators to the platforms yet. They are building it, supposedly. We may have to wait a couple years to see a accessibility symbol denoted on the subway map. IRT Bronx Express Posted December 23, 2010 Share #13 Posted December 23, 2010 The key is back up.Thankfully, I downloaded the updated map without the key. BTW, they should really bring back the service guide! For weekday rush hours, middays, and evenings, yes. Weekends and late nights, pointless since there are G.O.'s. But then again... one can say the same for middays too...

4P3607 Posted December 23, 2010 Share #17 Posted December 23, 2010 uugh I have a map from 2001 but for some reason I decided to label every stop on the map in 2005 with a number (I still to this day dont know why I did that). The maps ruined, but it did say 6th Avenue ((Q6Av).

But then again... one can say the same for middays too... I don't understand why on earth the MTA even removed the service guide in the first place. There are times where service does actually run close to regular on weekends and nights so a guide wouldn't be totally pointless.
