E Local Posted January 23, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 23, 2011 hey everyone! I made a newer map. even though it's the same as before, there are SOME changes: - The (P) line is renamed to W - The W is extended to 137 street via 135 street (dont know why 10 blocks north of 125) - The line now runs with the lines under the 60th street tunnel via the Astoria line into the Bronx under the to Hunts Point Av. - there is no more 34 street/5th avenue on the (I) W. That's all. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5086/5379059959_fec259a256_b.jpg' alt='5379059959_fec259a256_b.jpg'> Newer map by Cinema34, on Flickr[/img]
R160 Posted January 23, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 23, 2011 Too much on this map for me to actually look at stuff, but "This is Fulton Street/WTC. Transfer is available to the (8)(U)(X)(Y). The next stop is South Ferry. This is SF. Transfer is available to the (8)(U)(X)(Y) "

NX Express Posted January 23, 2011 Share #4 Posted January 23, 2011 Why 2 separate huge transfers in LoMan? Cut the one at Fulton Street.
E Local Posted January 23, 2011 Author Share #5 Posted January 23, 2011 Why 2 separate huge transfers in LoMan? Cut the one at Fulton Street. I always thought of doing that since most of them (except the ) connect at south ferry

Roadcruiser1 Posted January 23, 2011 Share #9 Posted January 23, 2011 A massive problem. IRT, and BMT/IND lines can't run together no matter what, because of platform differences. Also your , (Y) line in Brooklyn cuts across Greenwood Cemetery. Unless if you want to disturb the dead I suggest you don't do that.
E Local Posted January 23, 2011 Author Share #10 Posted January 23, 2011 You're just overdoing it. I don't see why the 1,7,E and U need to all go to SI from the same place. Or why South Ferry, Rector, Cortlandt and Chambers all need to be transfer stations. I think you gave me ideas. thanks!

R160 Posted January 23, 2011 Share #13 Posted January 23, 2011 lol how is Ditmars Blvd going to hold 3 lines? It's only 2 tracks... Jamaica center with 4 lines is a push. 4 lines at St. George? That must be a big terminal 4 Lex lines is a no-no 3 lines running down a 2 track 2nd avenue? eeshh.

Roadcruiser1 Posted January 23, 2011 Share #15 Posted January 23, 2011 Your map still makes buses redundant so therefore I will shut down almost all the bus lines.

E Local Posted January 23, 2011 Author Share #18 Posted January 23, 2011 If you have restored the old Franklin shuttle into a thru route, then you really don't need both the B and the Q on the Brighton. One can be moved elsewhere and the other remains as the Brighton express. I like the idea, but the would be way too long.
IRT Bronx Express Posted January 23, 2011 Share #19 Posted January 23, 2011 At this rate, there won't be a reason to keep bus service throughout the city.

Agreed, 1 5mi long tunnel is expensive, but 4 seperate lines running down there and 3 of them just ending at the tip of the island? Just transfer to the ferry to the SIRT. E Local Posted February 11, 2011 Author Share #21 Posted February 11, 2011 New stuff on map- -The is brought back to Bway, took place of the old 5th avenue W line, which means the southern portion is closed. I did that because Queens is already handled by too many trains & the 60th street tubes cannot handle 4 trains at once. Oh yeah it runs from 137 street-City College, Manhattan to Kings highway, Brooklyn via sea beach. via Bway-4th Av express. - The (U) & trains no longer run to Staten Island, replaced by the or the Ferry. - The (8) is now obsolete, replaced by the & lines - The no longer runs to 263 street with the That's all Map: http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/7783/newermap.gif' alt='newermap.gif'> Uploaded with ImageShack.us[/img]

Rell Posted February 13, 2011 Share #25 Posted February 13, 2011 What about extending the to either Francis Lewis Blvd or Bell Blvd? Or send a service (possibly the from Hunts Pt or from Flushing) through to Throgs Neck. Btw the in table says to BB, but it goes to South Ferry here.
