Service Change  Posted: 11/28/2014  1:12PM

Due to signal problems at Lexington Av-59 St, northbound n.png and q.png trains are running with delays.

Some northbound n.png and q.png trains terminate at Times Sq-42 St or 57 St-7Av.

Allow additional travel time.

Currently sitting on the (N) at 57th going to Queens. They're stopping (Q)s at 42nd and 57th and sending them back to Brooklyn. They are wrong-railing some Queens-bound (R) trains at 57th on Brooklyn-bound express track, switching to Queens-bound express after the station and running them via the (F). Huge mess.

Due to a water leak at Grand Central-42 St, the following service changes are in effect:

4.png and 5.png trains are running local between 14 St-Union Square and 125 St in both directions.

Some 5.png trains are running on the 2.png line between 149 St-Grand Concourse and Nevins St in both directions.

Allow additional travel time.

This is a first. "Water Leak". In just a few hours the Lex Ave will have the planned work with the 5 terminating at 42nd st and 4 train terminating at Brooklyn Bridge

Due to signal problems at Carroll St, the following service changes are in effect:

There is no (F) train service between 2 Av and 4 Av-9 St in both directions.

There is no (G) train service between Court Square and Church Av in both directions.

Allow additional travel time.

I don't get it.The whole G has to be suspended because of this?

Not just the (G) suspension, but can't the (F) run express between Jay Street and 4 Avenue?

That's crazy.Lets say something big would happen that would cause a much bigger delay.Im sure they would call someone in to the Bedford-Nostrand Tower. Its not fair to cut off the whole (G) just becuase something happens in that section.

Due to signal problems at Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr, northbound (D) and (N) trains are running local from 36 St (Bklyn) to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.

Allow additional travel time.

Question: Can the (N) shift from express to local at 36 Street?

Many typos there. (N) can't run local north of 36th St, and they have to include DeKalb due to the switches at Atlantic being OOS. And I found out why. Estimating that most switches are 80 feet long, the switch there is estimated 60 feet long, which is too sharp for trains to go on.

So a train that goes express from 36th can't go to Montague?

So a train that goes express from 36th can't go to Montague?

That means if something happens on the bridge the (N) can only either run via the (D) or terminate at Pacific.

The (N) could go local after 36th but only if it's local from 59

Northbound switches at Atlantic works. The one going southbound doesn't

Even if the southbound switch from DeKalb to Atlantic Ave express track were to be restored, the train would go so SLOWLY over that switch that it's typically faster to just run the train local.  If you need a connection to the R southbound, hopefully the connection would be held at DeKalb instead in that circumstance.

Due to problems with electronic platform gap fillers at 14 St-Union Square, some southbound (5) trains are running on the (2) line from 149 St-Grand Concourse to Nevins St.

Allow additional travel time.

I guess now is not a good time to use the Union Square station.
