While I was trying to get the earlier (L) advisory, the incident ended. Anyways, there was no (L) train service between Broadway Junction and 1st Avenue earlier in either direction.

Delays

There are extensive delays in (L) train service after NYPD removed an unauthorized person from the tracks at Graham Av.

The incident train also had a mechanical problem after its automatic brakes were activated. Service is beginning to resume.

They have to write emergency brakes. And I want to know does this happens in other cities too?

If in these other cities passengers can activate the emergency brake, then yes.

Also sometimes signal systems malfunction which causes the trip arm to activate, this can happen PATH as they use the same signal system as the N.Y. Subway. I was once on a (R) train that got tripped like three times in the Montague tubes in the mid 2000s.

There is no (L) train service in Manhattan in either direction because someone was struck by a train at 1 Av.

If you're at an affected (L) train station, please see a station agent for a courtesy pass for service on another train or bus.

As an alternative for service between Manhattan and Brooklyn, you can take the  or  train. For service in Manhattan, please take the M14A or M14D bus: bustime.mta.info
