Iran showed how power vacuums can arise when you kick out the evil you know with an evil you don't know. The last thing that was needed was more 'mini Irans'. The silent majority's silence is deafening and doesn't help their own situation. Also where was Obama when Iran had their election turmoil? That would've been a good chance to 'change' Iran and liberate the people there against a far more dangerous regime. What was the hurry to depose Mubarrak and Quadaffy? Those 2 were secular at best and didn't pose a threat to the west. And now Obama wants to get involved in Syria as well? Good god.... leave the middle east alone. My trying to understand both sides, the fact that the video was the religious hatred, etc. etc. -- f that, this is ridiculous. It's been weeks. These people need to get it together (and alternately, the US Media needs to stop acting like ALL Muslims are angry). One video, though, and it's weeks of rioting. Religion (and specifically Christianity) has killed massive amounts of people, and any religious hatred is unacceptable on all grounds. This anti-Muslim attitude that so many of you hold is just gonna lead to even more deaths, as will their anti-Western attitude. Good that you point that out. I can't necessarily agree with the numbers till I see stats but on this side topic I think people will have to admit that the bloodshed we were seeing and continuing to see isn't just about Islam and *only* the Islamic terrorists. Throughout history we had people killing in wars for the sake of "God" in the name of the virgin Mary, just as much as people declaring Holy Jihad today. I can see the fustration, on how people just refuse to taking the more healthy approach of 'thinking out of the box'" instead of memorizing partiotic slogans and go by that, instead of having the more balanced view of what's going on in the world today.
