Via Garibaldi 8 Posted March 6, 2013 Share #2 Posted March 6, 2013 lol... Well there's graveyards for everybody, even buses... MVH should love these pics... Lots of "naked" buses at Eastchester...
4P3607 Posted March 6, 2013 Share #3 Posted March 6, 2013 Such a sad sight to see all those Orion V CNGs being scrapped. Nice work! What happened to most of the C40s? I don't see them...
mtattrain Posted March 6, 2013 Share #4 Posted March 6, 2013 Wow... so many buses seem to have left the yard... last time I saw photos there seemed to be many more buses. Great finds doe.

aemoreira81 Posted March 6, 2013 Share #6 Posted March 6, 2013 996-998 have been sitting there for 3 years---is the MTA still trying to sell them? (None of those buses has more than 75,000 miles on them.)

Not sure if this is still an active sale or not, but the bus numbers match up: http://www.sellabus.com/vivian_ng_viking.html Like you know, the parts and whatnot aren't really interchangeable with the other buses, so the might as well sell 'em. They are behind the Orion V CNGs. You can't really see them from the side, but if you look close enough, you'll see them.
Turbo19 Posted March 7, 2013 Share #12 Posted March 7, 2013 Such a sad sight. Well, at least they can csalvage some parts still.
