So until they get inspected by the State, I just can't tell yet.
davemackey Posted December 11, 2020 Share #803 Posted December 11, 2020 (edited) Just found out that MCI is changing up the way it assigns VINs. Our old familiar VIN prefix of 1M8PDMNA is going away for our cruisers. Depending if the coaches have a spring brake release, the new VIN prefix is either going to be 1M8D2W90 or 1M8D2W91. The document with all the details is found at this link https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/mid/home/displayfile/489431cb-4518-4ee6-a8bb-4fce92f93c2d Edited December 11, 2020 by davemackey
davemackey Posted December 14, 2020 Share #804 Posted December 14, 2020 21078-21080 just arrived today at ADD. Pic on Facebook of 21078 has sign in front windshield with what looks to be 16098 on it... yep, last five of the VIN. So 21001-21009 are MP016020-16028, and 21010-21080 look to be MP016030-16100.
davemackey Posted December 14, 2020 Share #805 Posted December 14, 2020 21093 and 21101 are tracking in Winnipeg under their presumed VINs (16113 and 16121).

Didn't know Wayne was still getting more buses. Maybe to replace their 9000s/7100s?

davemackey Posted December 21, 2020 Share #812 Posted December 21, 2020 21082 and 21083 (both Meadowlands units) have been delivered to ADD. Also, 21013 (Ironbound) and 21048 (Howell) are in service as of today. 21002, 21007 and 21012 are entering service out of Ironbound this week.

553 Bridgeton Posted December 21, 2020 Share #814 Posted December 21, 2020 I will never understand why they need 30 lavs when they only have 4 319 runs and 7 on the weekends

davemackey Posted December 28, 2020 Share #816 Posted December 28, 2020 MCI's called in the reserves - some of the NJT buses have actually been built in Winnipeg. I revised a bunch of the VINs, which have now been confirmed through bus 21081 which is MCI unit 16101.

There are a bunch of others on the horizon. MCI will also apparently be building 2021 D4505's, so some of those serial sequences may already be assigned to some of that model.

Egg Harbor Twp is short about 6, Turnersville could probably use 8 more ( at least) Camden only needs 2 maybe even just 1. NABIs are being used on MCI routes again which in turn is also stretching the NABI supply thin.
