Not really, I’ve seen a few R142’s and R188’s with missing red stripes, the MTA is too lazy to replace them, I doubt they’ll replace the design on the 211’s

I think on their brand new cars they'll be replacing them.

Wait, but why?

Have you ever owned a new car?  You just want it to be perfect.  Even though these are not personally owned I'm sure there is someone way up there that would have a fit if these new cars look damaged.

I never said I wanted it to be perfect. I just liked the red stripes. And I do get it. If the MTA wants them to be removed, let em do so.

Well, look. Y’all might know this already but I just wanted to say the MTA said that the R211S was going to start service on January of next year in their conference when they confirmed the R211T service date. So yeah, I just wanted to say that. But sometimes you can’t believe them, so that’s why Wikipedia says early 2024 instead of January 2024.

Wait, so whenever 4110 gets delivered and when that set goes to CIY, that set along with 4090-94 can connect to one another. All the other 211A sets are connected to each other, and this is the 8th production 5-car set, so it would make sense to connect those 2 sets together. Now we have these cars delivered: (this is the result for tomorrow, I know 4110 ain’t delivered yet)

R211T: 4040-4059, 20 cars or 2 10-car trains

R211A: 4060-4099, 4110-4114, 4120-4124, 50 cars, or 5 10-car trains

R211S: 100-104, 5 cars, or 1 5-car train

Total number of R211s delivered: 75 cars, or 7 10-car trains and 1 5-car train

So yeah, there y’all go.

Great, now these trains will be delayed for another 5 months for wrap repairs 🤦‍♂️ what’s with people tagging trains, can’t they have anything better to do, there should be an FBI investigation and arrest the person for damage of private property and trespassing

I assure you, the FBI doesn't give a toss about public transport matters. They're too busy watching our phones, tablets and computers.

4060-4069 is the A pilot set and has been in daily service since the end of May, when it began its successful 30 day test.

4070-4079 has been in service since June.

no dates on the Ts or SS are hard set yet. Something might crop up to delay them. That’s why we deal on what quarter a train will debut until we’re 100% sure.

What is taking them so long to put in the 4080s/4090s? Wasn't the initial estimate about a train per week?

4090-4093 were delivered.

I did see another R211 set delivered but it ain’t 4090-93. Those guys were delivered last month. Here: I might be thinking it’s Either 4115-19 or 4100-04, or 4105-09. Or the 4110-14 set cuz sometimes new subway cars stay at SBK for a couple days.
