Good to know. Do you know if they’re also getting the automated announcements? At least the ones I took don’t have them yet.

Most of them are functional, its just a glitch on Clever Devices' end which have to be fixed. Some of them also have this issue where they work one day, the other they're broken. But most are functional.

Was finally able to spot a Fresh Pond NG without any screens equipped.

4527 does NOT have screens yet. I wonder which ones they’ll receive when that unit gets upgraded.

Never mind! 3984 also doesn’t have screens!

Hopefully 3984 and 4527 get them SOON.

4516 has screens (only half is activated). No announcements on that bus yet.

7269 was shadowing 4516 (bus I was on), when I got off, 7269 arrived and it has an announcement that goes like this:

”This is a Red Hook IKEA Terminal bound B57.”

I wasn’t on that bus, but I would assume that if it has that announcement, it would also have screens inside.

These units (*) may feature an older version.

There may be more NGs with new screens as well as the 2014-15 XD40. Try to be on the lookout if you can.

Think it’s time for the list to be updated.

761 has screens, though they were off. Surprisingly the announcements were still working. When it reaches a bus stop and when the doors open it only says the name of the stop and on the outside it says: “This is a Downtown Brooklyn bound B61 Fulton Mall via Red Hook.”

It would make more sense if they put “Fulton Mall” before “bound B61” but I guess it wasn’t coded that way.

433 has screens as well, same as the other C40LFs at JG, 2015 LFSes, and the 2018-2019 XD40/XDE40/LFS/LFSAs.

Which 7000 units on Staten Island have

4 hours ago, XcelsiorBoii4888 said:

So I've been noticing a surplus of extra 7000 series buses in service on the island, especially given to drivers who normally operate 8000s.

Found out they're updating the screens with transfer announcements.

Which 7000 units have screens on the island?

My bad should've been more specific, because the 8000 buses are gettin their screens updated with transfers, more 7000s have been in service at the same time.

No 7000s have screens, IF THEY DO, i hope they get version 2 and not version 3 since it looks like they're giving all the Orion VIIs version 3.

Transfers noted are slowly back on the Version 2 screens.

Bus 7845 was mentioned on the B36 at Av Z/Ocean Av. Quoting that transfer is available to the B4 and B49 bus.

And 7154 has the version 3 screens

Why did they take them out in the first place? Was it a software update that needs to be performed?

That is the case.

Damn. Don’t they have the technology to remotely update the screens on ALL buses from the ENY Command Center?

Also, I’m on bus 7660 and it has transfers again. However, it still has an issue of missing the B6 and B7 transfer at Avenue H going northbound.

Missing Transfers Again.
