Silver Script Posted January 3 Author Share #2 Posted January 3 Looking at the updated 24 schedule, I'm glad there's more service along E. Jersey Street... even if it's more during the weekend. Kinda surprised that they never added extra service during the weekdays because it can get very over crowded at times. I had to experience that myself last week trying to go to the mall.
checkmatechamp13 Posted January 3 Share #3 Posted January 3 I'd be curious to see if the short-turns between Elizabeth and Newark end up having some sort of suffix. In any case, it's good that they're adding some extra service on the 24. (I wish they'd adjust the spacing in the morning and evening on Saturdays heading northbound so that headways are even north of Broad & Jersey)

Buses have been doing that shit for at least what, 2 years now.....
A Former New Yorker Posted January 4 Share #5 Posted January 4 Why did they cut Journal Sq service on the 67
BM5 via Woodhaven Posted January 4 Share #6 Posted January 4 2 hours ago, A Former New Yorker said: Why did they cut Journal Sq service on the 67 It's an oddball trip/service pattern at this point. Initially JSQ was served by the 67B, 67X, and those 319 JSQ trips, with some shoulder and evening service on the 67 (at one point some buses came from Weehawken). At that time, it was more useful for commuters. They cut the 67B from there after COVID (which was later eliminated), then the 67X was cut last January, and now you're down to the one evening 67 trip and those 319 trips. Not remotely useful anymore for any central/southern Jersey commuters. Nobody going to AC in their right mind would take that trip either. It was just never cut by NJT until now.

Are the 319 trips to Newark/Journal Sq even used? It takes longer to get there then to get to PABT.

If nothing else, Newark/Jersey City riders can use it as a supplement to the 1 between Newark & Jersey City. That being said, service at least to Newark is definitely used and needed.

That was really never used as a 1 supplement more of a supplement to the 67 ....Once it left JSQ it hit 440/1&9 straight into nwk...Most if not all ppl at the JS wanting Nwk will op for path downstairs...That service had good ridership mainly in the warm months with only 2 a day leaving jsq Edited January 5 by biGC323232
