Astoria pics and vids I took yesterday (02/01/09)!

Recommended Posts

Decided to railfan the Astoria Line yesterday with the extended to (Q) to Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard. Friday night while I was a World Trade Center bound (E) train I saw new R-160A-2 subway cars coupled with a R-37 across the platform. I got off @ 23rd Street and it came on the Downtown express tracks so I decided to take pics and vids of it:

Awesome stuff there! And isn't it great to catch new stuff? I remember when I caught R160A-1 8340 on the (J) in June of 2007 testing, it was wonderful. Anyway, great, great stuff!!

I like the R160A towing video the most as well as the (Q) R160 in Astoria! The R160As and R160Bs are taking over this system for real!

Thanks....I'm glad they taking over the system. I'm tired of seeing these boring subway cars!
