  1. Wait Which redesign are you specifically talking about? Even though it may be obvious but still if it's this depot or that depot then it's gonna be interesting.
  2. It's kind of trucky bc some buses have to move around to make due for service. That said: Q14-difficult since it has depots on both sides. Since it replaced the north half of the Q38, I see it at LG. Q23-only reason I say CP is bc resources for the Q50 have to be moved from LG (see below) Q38-makes sense to keep it at CP for reasons mentioned above. Q45-Replacement of the Q36/79. Makes sense Q46/48-it speaks for itself Q50-has to be based out of ECH especially assuming there will be no layovers at LGA. Similar to the end days of the QBx1, resources from LGA Depot have to be moved to ECH to meet up with demand. Q51- difficult to pinpoint, but seeing the Q110 is discontinued I see resources for the Q110 being moved to the Q51, basing it out of BP Q57-Only reason I say it would be a QV route is bc not only would the Q51 be taking resources for the Q110, due to the length of the route it would make sense to take Q112 resources too. Q61/62-not that I need to mention them but they are basic northern legs of the Q16 so yeah. Q63-I would see either CP or LGA operating it, more the former than latter Q68-this is a rerouted Q101 so this route is basically gonna have the same depot, LGA Q73-agreed with it being a QV route Q75-Original route would have made sense to be at JA too Q78-Makes too much sense to be at QV Q80-this is basically a reformed Q29 if you think about it. LGA. Q82/86-Basically a rerouted Q2/5 respectively. Let them stay in their home routes' home. Q98-do I even need to say it? Q105-like how it basically combined the Q100/102. Another obvious one. Q109-JFK would make sense. Another (albeit unlikely) choice if they choose to go with it is BP. Q115-its the Q111 Short turn B53-the only Brooklyn route I'll cover. Depending on how they choose to handle the Brooklyn redesign, it could be an ENY route or they could base it out of LGA or CS (also depending on how they wanna redistribute the resources).
  3. I classified the Rush routes as current day LTDs bc they basically accomplish a similar job to LTDs, but instead of only stopping at major transfer points it's Subway connections. I agree they do operate more akin to exp routes but in the same borough.
  4. The "limited" routes are loosely defined here. For years limited routes were designed similar to how the "rush" routes run here, limited stops one segment, local the other (ex. M2, Q43, B35). Here, it just looks like it's a local that has many stops removed. So that could be extremely misleading when the workshop begins to take place. The B57 they have proposed here looks exactly like that. Looking closer, it doesn't look like the B57 proposed now is as bad as I thought it would be, but I still have a tiny bit of concern as to how reliable it actually would be. I can say that the B62 has no business serving Astoria and needs its own segment between Williamsburg and Astoria, which I would propose as the rush route Q92 and make the Q69 make all stops instead.
  5. Wasn't that supposed to be a KB bus? Not that I'm complaining but looks like they pulling something similar to the 2017 XD60 where buses just go as needed.
  6. What I don't understand is some of the "Name Patterns". The Q48 I understand (original absorbed into the Q19/50; revamped into Q46 Glen Oaks Branch), but I personally feel the Q105 is essentially a rerouted Q100 making local stops on 31 St. Maybe the idea is to distinguish it as the Q100/102 combo. Person I'd just either extend the Q50 back to Co-op full time or split it into a rush hr variant (perhaps Q90) between Flushing and Co-op City. But time for that may have passed. Unless..... Calling on the Q1/Q6 split later on in the final design. How would the layover at Jackson Hts work on the Q52/53? If they do it wrong not much is gonna change. Split the B62 and B57 north sections into two different routes. Unless you gonna make local variants in the Brooklyn redesign. Everything else I have no option (besides a handful of other "unnoticed" bus combos) on except readvocate resources for the QM65 back to the QM3.
  7. One idea is to make a "code" that marks what section is being covered. For example with IRT examples would be 2B for between 149-180th, 2Bx for the exp variant and 5D for 5 from 180 to Dyre. For BMT/IND just base it in numbers like A1 for section 1 of the , A2 for the other section and so forth.
  8. Do any of you realize this is an NYCT order and the only reason NYCT loaned articulateds back in 2017 was to accelerate SBS on the Q52/53? No reason for them to divert the order to MTA Bus.
  9. The last official plan was to put the Bx35 in KB to put the M125 in WF. It's not impossible bc there are plenty of put-ins on the Bx19 at 3 Av. And if you wanna go further, the Bx21/32 to/from 138 St as well.
  10. Do you know if the next 10 test buses are gonna go through a similar program like 11-20 or they are just gonna basically be buses tested for a couple months like the original 22/23?
  11. Not everything has to be direct replacement. Could be a couple dozen that would be used for service and/or spare increases
  12. This is a nice way to slide in the redesign Lefferts Blvd terminal and eventually make it "permanent" because the ridership doesn't exist for the CTA anymore.
  13. Last I heard the M125 is supposed to be based out of WF with a couple other shifts in the Bronx Division
  14. You sure it's happening in the winter pick? Last I heard all route movements are gonna happen in the summer pick when the Bronx bus redesign is expected to take effect.
  15. 1557-1629 is 73 new buses, exactly enough to displace all older models and make the depot 100% 2021-22 units
  16. $33 weekly for an express bus ride? Guess I'm about to take advantage
  17. I believe the situation was after the 2010 cuts they added stops on the B103 because Park Slope/Gowanus residents complained too much about the loss of the B37 so the B103 was somewhat modified. (Even though the added stops and restored B37 happened nearly around the same time just separated by a couple months)
  18. As of today, what are the official 2021-22 XDE40s in service? On my list I have 9520, 9523-9526?(ENY), 9563-9589 (MCH), 9590-9619 (MQ)
