... and this is why there needs to be some form of enforcement when bus fare is not paid. For instance in Brooklyn you can’t take the dollar van and be short .50 cents and expect to take the ride. People do it. Sometimes the driver will notice right away, others turn a blind eye.
However, if you are on a bus and every time you are trying to short change the driver that has an effect on how the fare is collected, also the drivers handling of the bus and other contributing factors. Fare evasion has to be addressed in a way people will need to get or else suffer severe consequences possibly taking away privileges.
They need to have 3 sets of teams covering the B44 & B46 SBS covering major intersections and riding along. Haven't heard anything in regards to the Brooklyn eagle teams patrolling those lines.
What's with all these buses heading to Queens. Is there a surplus in service for the Q44? Cuz I know Q12 is not close to artic ready and I would be surprised if I saw an artic going down Northern.
Something made me think that it was originally an Staten Island Division bus before going to Queens. Thank You for the correction. If my memory serves me correct. Yukon sent down 4132, 4136 to Queens, 4134, 4138, 4139 to Brooklyn, 4137 to Manhattan.
4136. Yes.
4132 No. (That was always a Queens Division bus). My question was already answered this morning if you read the post correctly. But thanks tho.
Correct. Definitely aware of the SBS44 splitting into 2 sections
Section A: Flushing/Bedford to Sheepshead
Section B: Williamsburg Bridge to Sheepshead.
I can't foresee the 82 heading to Gateway Mall. The route is already long as it is. 82 & 83 definitely needs to be all artic.
Random sighting: On a morning drive into Queens I've just spotted 5 proterras along with 9502 parked up at the facility.
5384 now has the vision zero double ad.
If you are referring to the double rear ad. Quite a few Ulmer Park buses have the double ad. 7171, 7179 are 2 of the buses I've spotted so far. There are a few with Flatbush (SBS46), East New York.
Those 43xx buses need to leave the Bronx into other confines of the city. Only 4331 is in Brooklyn (Grand Avenue) and that will prolly be the only bus out of that series that has left The Bronx.
