  1. I was going to take the SIM22 this week to Outerbridge but looking on google maps, it shows that's permanently closed, so where is the SIM22 going?
  2. Wrong, the weekend is a reduced length interborough route.
  3. @Via Garibaldi 8 is the Outer Bridge Park/Ride permanently closed?
  4. Saw this on twitter so wanted to create a new thread over CBTC, OPTO and Union rules. I understand that the ran OPTO for a few weeks until the union sued the and made them return C/R's to the line. But why was this program criticized? The Franklin Av , Rockaway , late night , and weekend are all OPTO with no issue. Why was the a whole other story?
  5. This is a tough question; What is the longest non-revenue track in the subway system right now (excluding Yards)?
  6. For those of you wondering why the isnt skipping 149th St, its because they built a walkway over the middle track for whatever reason.
  7. In terms of if the was doing 2010 style budget cuts again: - Eliminated - Eliminated (Replaced by Dyre Av huttle) - Eliminated - Reduced to 10 minutes - Truncated to 2nd Av
  8. MTA is backing off banning cash at the token booths for now. TWU made a big fuss about it.

  10. Bringing this topic back for this question: I heard from a retired T/O that Canal St was originally built with inner terminal tracks as an alternative to SAS had funding ran out before it could be completed to Hanover Sq. While this somewhat may not be true, Nassau is built in a completely weird way from Essex St all the way to Broad St, so his story does have some merit to it.
  11. This is what happens when you have a hiring freeze...
  12. I'm telling you, I do NOT trust that signaling system...
  13. Why is NYPD investigating a power outage?
  14. I call this the "Better Subway Service Initiative", it's suppose to improve off-peak subway service while being cost neutral. EVENING's: service to Lefferts Blvd ends at 9 PM, replaced by . Every 3rd after 9 PM runs to Rockaway Park. 145th St - 2nd Av via CPW Local / 6th Av Express every 12 minutes 168th St - Lefferts Blvd (9 PM-11 PM) via 4th Av Local (8 PM-9:30 PM) / via Bway-4th Av Local & via Tunnel (9:30 PM-11 PM) Dyre Av - Bowling Green (9 PM-11 PM) OVERNIGHT's: 207th St - Far Rockaway / Rockaway Park (12 AM-5 AM) No Service Euclid Av - Lefferts Blvd (12 AM-5 AM) RW: No service (9 PM-5 AM) Lexington Av Local (12 AM-5 AM) Dyre Av - Grand Central via Lexington Av Express (12 AM-5 AM) Pelham Bay Park - Bowling Green (12 AM-4 AM) WEEKENDS: 145th St - 2nd Av via CPW Local 168th St - Lefferts Blvd (All Weekend) Metropolitan Av - 96th St/2nd Av
  15. I also would have preferred the running via Brighton Express in place of the . Gives the same amount of service riders need. And they really need to stop ending the so early, CPW Local is crowded during the evening rush and the with its 8 cars and 12 minute headways is not helping.
  16. A lot, if not all, of the SBS routes also just mention the neighborhood instead of what their local counterparts say on those signs.
  17. @Via Garibaldi 8 What's the possibility of a service like the X90 returning?
  18. I normally don't post stuff like this, but this is just disgusting...
  19. Um, is it safe to be riding on QBL trains with all these issues I keep hearing about? At least once for the past 4 weeks there's been some type of mass signal malfunction that basically shut down the whole line.
  20. So are all the production cars coming from Lincoln or from Yonkers?
  21. While I do agree with you that some of them try to help, it's inexcusable that they can find the time to respectfully reply to the kid who always tweets them about the R179's, but rudely calls out a regular commuter who's trying to report a tracking issue.
