  1. That don't make sense, if it's not the boss exam then I wouldn't be getting told to take only one test and have the score applied to the other.
  2. Exactly the point I was trying to make. Removing switches makes no sense, since it reduces the ability to rerouted trains. For example, there was an issue at Jackson Hts a few weeks ago and the and had no where to turn around since they removed the switch at Northern Blvd.
  3. Maybe it's because I'm not familiar with how this is, but why would they remove a switch?
  4. @+Young+ I got a call from a non-NYCT number saying I can't take both scheduled tests for MTA Bus & MaBSTOA. Is this true? Sounds fishy to me. I was told I take the exam this Sat and whatever I score will be applied to both exams.
  5. Why's everyone trying to rush into NYCT? What's wrong with MabSTOA?
  6. Another thing I noticed is that stupid "detour" via River Rd/Route 4 instead of going directly across the Cedar Ln Bridge. I use quotation marks because they say ita a detour yet the bridge is fully open...
  7. I agree, it's a waste of fuel to run the thing via Gotham Pkwy outside of rush hours, and NJT wonders why they're always short on money. It also shouldn't be running to BCC as much as it does now, maybe 3 trips each day would suffice, one at 8 AM, 12 PM and 4 PM for the students.
  8. I'm told that the petition for MTA Bus is less then the one for NYCT or MaBSTOA, but that was a few years ago. Not sure if the upcoming merge will fix fix problem.
  9. I actually took a ride on the 772 on Friday (needed something to do on my day off), along the route, we picked up zero people (during the rush) between Bergen CC & Bergenfield, got maybe 4 people after that, didn't pick up anyone until Hackensack where everyone who was already on got off, then 2 people got off at Little Ferry and the didn't pick up anyone all the way to Rutherford. On the trip back towards Hackensack, no one got on/off along Gotham Pkwy, Commerce Blvd, or Moonachie and it was like that the rest of the day. What I would do with the 772 on weekdays is have the 772G only run via Gotham Pkwy during rush hours only or on request towards Rutherford. That is also not the most direct route, buses can go straight down Washington Av to Route 120 and then go across to the Complex to skip Gotham Pkwy.
  10. For everyone taking this exam and MaBSTOA #1100, I highly suggest you think about what position you want to go for as each division will be restricted to what you can do along with the benefits. If you decide to go with MTA Bus: If you decide to go with MaBSTOA:
  11. A lot of people are saying don't put in your two weeks notice yet because COVID can happen and cause you to be without a job during the transition.
  12. Nope. I think they're waving the exam fee for this one. @+Young+ is there an example test for this? I got a letter that says I need to bring a scientific calculator and was not aware this was a math regents exam 🤨
  13. Spinning off the topic of bus lanes, why is it that the B82+ is the only SBS line in the system to not run on weekends? All that infrastructure built just for a line to use it 5 days a week? Seems like a waste IMO, especially when the B82LCL takes forever on the weekends.
  14. An absolute sh!tshow on the 177x today. There was a broken down 772 NABI on Washington Ave that closed one lane off and there was massive traffic jam with cars and other buses trying to get around it. It was still there when I did a return trip. Side note - whats up with the 772 route? When I was laid over I took a look at the schedule and it's a cluster****. Who in their right mind is going from Hackensack to Bergen CC via New Milford? I dont even understand the southern half of this route, why are off peak buses service an industrial area that is more then likely closed at that hour?
  15. Yes both is for the respective exam, so your doing exam #1100 and exam MTA Bus.
  16. I got both, one on Oct 23 and one the 31st same time.
  17. That's what happens when people yell at the and encourage others to fare beat. Why should I pay $127 for my monthly metrocard when I see the same people hopping the turnstyle, entering through the emergency door or just walk on the bus? There's this one operator on the B35 who does not let ANYONE who didn't pay their fare get on the bus, and he has my full respect.
  18. Ok, I'm not sure how they're going to address this since we're already halfway through the process with the exam coming up. I know someone else who's taking this exam with me and hasn't been vax yet because of personal reasons, but I can tell this is going to be a problem for others that aren't vaccinated.
