  1. That would be highly unlikely and all buses have a placard above the drivers window which advises about the Height of the Bus, plus there would be no explosion, fire suppression systems are in place to prevent that, CNG Buses are prepared for these scenarios.
  2. I like how these new ones are highly informative.
  3. Wish you nothing but the best of luck, and hopefully you succeed in your future endeavors.
  4. The CNG Order was never botched, they were just simply retired once their expiration date on their tanks had been met. If this were about botching buses, then where the hell would our replacements be?
  5. @Future ENY OP@MysteriousBtrain@Coney Island Av ...Then here is guy #2. It's an endless cycle.
  6. What in hell are you talking about? West Farms never rushed to retire the OG CNG's, THEY HAD TO because CNG Buses have tanks that expire. As any depot with a shortage West Farms needed buses to fill in that gap, and the best choice was to send the newer XD40's up to West Farms in order to fill in the shortage gap, and why the hell do you want send Next Gens to a mostly NFI Depot, this makes no sense at all, especially when they house in CNG Buses for Christ sake. This is not about making everyone ride the new buses, its about sending buses where there is a need, not a plea. Most people fail to realize that CNG Buses actually have to be decommissioned by its expiration date, you and a couple of others in here with the same ideology you have always make the mistake of stating things without doing research, because its much easier to say things out of the blue. You people need to research, Google up information about CNG Tanks, search up CNG Buses and their service history in other agencies. Assumptions cannot be made, and is such an irresponsible decision making method in a Transit Agency. Buses don't have to be sequential, its not the end of the world, like its the same damn bus with different numbers, there is no need to have an OCD Breakdown and getting horny over the assignments you feel these buses should have. The only department that knows best is the Department of Buses, they are the one's who make responsible decisions, and know what has to be done.
  7. The XE60 hasn't even been delivered yet, unless you mean an XD60...
  8. Don't worry, wrong fonts aren't one thing that is bad... They've also mispelled street names in the past, like Tinton Av in the Bronx, the older signs say "TIINTON AV", but a couple of them have the extra I covered with a green sticker.
  9. @MHV9218 @Around the Horn That font is actually Highway Gothic, its the ones currently used on the much newer street signs, and all highway signs. You can tell its Highway Gothic by the point ends of the letters, and the more the 2 is curvy. Clearview is different, the character ends are flat, the characters are slightly more spaced and bigger.. There is a BxM8 Bus stop sign around Country Club with the same font.
  10. According to the TTMG Roster 1021-1109 have an L9N Engine while 1016-1020 have an ISL G NZ. Can anyone confirm if the L9N is the actual Engine on those units, or if its a mistake.
  11. Do you have the link? I was at TTMG, unless I was at the wrong site.
  12. Looks like Christmas came early for Staten Island Politicians.
  13. True. But in the same manner we went from 40 D60HF's to 0 is an example of how can make quick moves to take a wholesale of buses OOS.
  14. Students here aren't the issue. School's can make it hell for Students to get replacement MetroCards' and in essence Students are no longer being targeted according to an Internal NYPD Memo. The thing is that a student shouldn't be punished for not having a MetroCard, mind that Students with MetroCards don't have to pay for a ride, while adults have to. So it isn't fair in both senses. Adults are curbing this bad habit, and they are the one's who deserved to be punished to the fullest extent. Students have nothing to do with Fare Beating increasing, they're just kids. Most of these kids come from struggling families who can barely put food on the table, and putting shit on their record for not having a MetroCard is just insane too. This shouldn't even have to be a conversation, it's quite clear that the adults curb this bad behavior and they should be the ones reprimanded for it.
  15. Yeah, the Target isn't on kids. The target here is adults.
  16. 2017 XN40 718 got it's front fleet number replaced with smaller numbers, and properly lined up.
  17. Do you know how many times I have complained to them just about that, and nothing has ever been done to find a solution or at least compromise... They just care about launching the damn app, not fixing it. Its just them playing the game of F*ck All.
  18. A new GPS Tracking unit comes with the bus. All wiring, software, and other equipment required is new. The only old thing that rotates around is the Farebox.
  19. There is nothing against Flatbush or anything, right now its the fleet is being distributed by need, and the OG CNG's at WF have massively retired causing XD40's to end up at WF. It shouldn't be bad, noting on how most of those buses will soon end up in their respective depot's soon enough, it just takes time.
  20. I am aware, but for employers who have less than 10 employees, they don't have to follow by the $15 minimum wage.
  21. I feel that no matter what distance you live in, students should have access to free transportation. There should be no reason that in 2019 a student isn't able to get to their school just because of their inability to pay a half fare, or because their family has economical struggles, or inclement weather outside. If most students have a Full Fare, then Half fare shouldn't be an option. In places like D.C. Students ride free, regardless of travel distance, and regardless of time. With the new fare payment system making its debut, it's about time that the Revises their student transportation policy, and re adjust their policies to include all students with free transportation. I know that distance is a bullshit excuse, because there are students who live less than a mile away from school and they are given Full Fare's for economical, or other reasons which just simply makes it unfair for others. Another thing is that people need to shut the f*ck up about students taking public transportation, it is none of their business to even instigate that, and we are no lesser than them in order for us to be chewed by some grown ass hypocrite who probably is stuck in a 9-5 job being paid less than $15 an hour. Public Transportation is PUBLIC. It is a system where anyone is entitled to use it regardless of age, color, race, or sex. I absolutely have no problem with students riding on buses and trains trying to get to an after-school, library, their home, a ball game, the park, or etc. It's their right as citizens of the City of New York to utilize the City's resources to their benefit. I am tired of seeing these people proselytize themselves as more than students just because they get a paycheck. I know some students can be @$$holes when on the bus, but it's life, nothing's perfect. Just as adults have a right to ride public transportation, so do students, because Public Transportation is in place to benefit everyone, not just a certain class of people, just because they want to be self centered and act like breadwinners. This is one big societal problem, and it is none of their business to be concerned over a Student's choice of travel.
  22. It may have been a good intention back then, but even Bus Operators wave them on when a Student hops in with a Half Fare... Especially if you're best option is a 1 stop ride on the Subway... At this point Bus Only, and Half Fare MetroCards should be eliminated.
  23. I was actually on various XN40's these past few days, and I have really noticed on how fast West Farms Depot has been installing the Clever Devices Information Screens, I wanted to know if there is more constant deliveries of the screens to the depot because only 3 WF C40LF's have gotten Vianova's and deployment has been slow. Does this have to do with the fact that Clever Devices is concentrated on the NG's and XN40's, or the fact that Vianova screens are being widespread in deployment?
  24. Our Infinite Master Cuomo has already taken the reigns of totalitarian control and he shall not let a peasant touch his astonishing accomplishment {F*CKED UP FAILURE AND NATURAL DISASTER} But shall we give him the blame once someone gets Lung Cancer because of Silica dust, may he not see himself re elected.
