  1. Its not possible for NYCT Buses to have MTA Bus codes, because their codes overlap. (e.g. the M14A Code in NYCT is the Q114 Code for MTA Bus)
  2. There is nothing the can do but call the NYPD if they are posing harm to passengers, the city won't accept these people into shelters either, so where do you expect to place them anyway? Another thing is that wouldn't want to risk transit employees dealing with those people regardless. The city puts regulation, and employees in Transit do not have any rights to prosecute people.
  3. Well we can't sacrifice the need of space over a homeless situation, at the end of the day ridership may be in decline now, but can skyrocket in the future. We can't keep these small bumps in the road divert us from progress, and as stingy as the smell could be it is up to the politicians to get themselves at work with that matter, and unfortunately there needs to be heavy enforcement of the homelessness crisis which has only been made worse by the current buffoon warming up that chair at city hall. I support open gangway cars, and they are a capacity solution, along with new signaling in the future, we can't let "people" taunt us into scrapping concepts that can have a drastic change in the way we commute. The 21st century is already here, no one in 2019 should say that its impossible to do many things which have now been facilitated by technology and advanced methods of oversight and execution. The solution is a competent administration in the city which brings in sets of laws meant to combat homelessness, improve the shelter system in the city which is deplorable; Increase security at these shelter's which are notorious for conflict. The NYPD also has to be held accountable because not only is it a safety risk, but a hygiene, and lawsuit on the way case... For the 's case, their hands are tied because they have no control on what to do with these people, let alone where in hell will the move these people to if the city isn't willing to accept them in their shelter system. This crisis is to blame on this mayor, he is nothing but incompetent, inept for his job, and feels that he is entitled to do what he knows is wrong for the sole purpose of advancing his fascist agenda and shove it down everyone's throats; Just look at "Fair Fares" and we're just in day 4 of 2019... Things only seen in inept people...
  4. They are inside the buses on the actual overhead advertising panels.
  5. For some reason I've seen that as the case for all Manhattanville's NG's.
  6. Replacing the CNG Tanks is a very expensive process per bus. It makes much more economical sense to order new buses at a cheaper price.
  7. We were very proud that 9505 came into service, now less than a week its already in a crash.
  8. I completely agree, just because you have an account in the Forums, doesn't give you the right to fight or want to be on top of someone else. We are all human beings at the end of the day despite our differences, and we are here to express our concerns, learn new things, socialize with other people on a platform that is specifically for users interested in Transit. I feel that we should all respect each other regardless of our differences.
  9. Unfortunately I do not have a picture of the machines during off hours, but for the Quarter machines (If you don't live near an +SBS+ route that doesn't operate late night) Try a parking meter after rules are no longer in effect. In the case of the MetroCard Machines, they do display that message on a Black screen, and do not do any functions until the route starts running again at its scheduled time.
  10. The Machines are still on, they Just display "Bx12 +SBS+ not running, use the Bx12 Local." The machines also do not accept payments during those hours... and for the Quarters machine, its just like the Parking meter during off hours.
  11. Will the current Buses delivered in the new scheme get them in their repaints?
  12. Idk, but they've been doing the same with the 1040's XN60 as well...
  13. XN60's 1040, 1041, and 1042 on their being delivered on the NB Side of the Bruckner Expwy one behind another. The only difference is that it has the New York City Bus logo on the rear, and it is on the same section where the WIFI and USB stickers are.
  14. Wait, if Queens won't get any new +SBS+ routes until 2021, which is when that borough's redesign has finished... How long will the time frame be for each borough from meetings to Implementation (Noting that SI took 3 years)
  15. Not going to lie, but there are operators that are just ass-holes and shouldn't deserve to even seek a position as a public servant. I feel that everyone should take a share on +SBS+ routes and the upcoming route redesign, and that doesn't make a clusterf*ck of a system as we've seen with certain express routes in Staten Island.
  16. Yeah, I noticed Quill doesn't play with their XE40's. They've been sending them out on the M42 and M50 a couple of times... They should try them on the M66 and M72, performance on those 2 routes should be quaint.
  17. I can tell he find Bus Operators as Hostile Führer's that have no equivalent Importance in their jobs day in and day out. He has also made subtle references about them not having common sense, how obscene and immature that is? Like the double standard and Hypocrisy is so clear.
  18. I am curious to know, since you are a Bus Operator at Flatbush and you just began operating the B44 +SBS+ that uses Nova Bus LFSA's, when the 2019 XD60's (If you plan to stay on the B44 +SBS+) arrive will you have to be trained on them or are you already qualified to operate it.
  19. I never said that the public should not know about the problems with +SBS+. Of course we need to, we're the one's paying $2.75 for bus service, but it doesn't mean that they should just be told that +SBS+ is outright shit. Customers want to know what makes the routes or the program ineffective and the reason is poor planning and incompetent leadership, but that is a point that is barely made across because the only thing that's in the scope is nothing but the service itself. If you claim that almost no one had any problems with you, but if that were the case there wouldn't be any cats and dog fights every year with people in the forums. You are now talking about that if it were up to Bus Operator's they'd take the lightest utilized routes, but those are the front line workers that sometimes have to even sacrifice their lunch break in order to be able to make it to a terminal 1 hour or more late because of traffic. Those same Bus Operators have the balls to choose the heaviest routes during every pick and deal with the conditions outside. You don't deal with the conditions that Bus Operators deal with, probably if you were behind the wheel 1+ hour past your lunch break, and with an added run time it would become hell for what they currently deal with. It's not 1980, the traffic situation has gotten worse, and the city's infrastructure is too old and was never built to deal with modern day traffic leaving us to work things out with what we have. You know how the is and their nature of not listening. You're no longer an employee there, they will no longer regard your concerns, yapping about the B44 +SBS+ to KCC on the Forums won't make it happen, we aren't councilmen. With an +SBS+ pilot of the new Fare Payment system in November 2019 and possible rollout in the following year, The wouldn't want to have the DOT drill all the way to light poles in order to waste money on machines that probably won't even be around for a year... For the current struggles of the B44 +SBS+ I will leave that for an operator to elaborate and tell you about their day doing runs on the route.
  20. Not to cause any harm here, but what I have been seeing lately has been too much clashing because of +SBS+ not only with B35 via Church, but with many others who have now as I have refrained from commenting in this conversation because either we will be shamed for our opinions, or what we say will make us look like dumb@sses... If you have multiple people disagreeing with your proposal then you should stop championing things through, it won't work. #1 the B44 is already long as it is, #2 People are fine with what they have now. No one can lie about tweaks and adjustments that are needed to be made, but it's already been 1 f*cking year where the same song plays again and again when something +SBS+ related comes up here. Every time something +SBS+ comes up it is bashed, butchered, sliced, and killed. The answer we get is that +SBS+ is just downright shit, that's not an answer that we the public want. We want to know why the routes are terrible, and what are the problems individually. There are +SBS+ routes that are a success (Bx41) and others just a complete failure (M34/A), we all know the reasons why. Bashing, Insulting, and putting words in people's mouths is not going to help make your point at all, everyone's opinions and decisions shall be respected just as we respect each other. Sometimes we forget that no matter what our differences and disagreements are, that were all human as a human can be, but someone here makes it intolerable to even want to speak here anymore. I have tried to avoid commenting on this conversation for a while, but when you get to a point where almost everyone here has a problem with BrooklynBus there has to be a stop. I agree with B35 via Church, it's time to cut the crap already and stop the nonsense, stop perfecting the image and admit that you made a mistake even if it's once. No one is going to die in here if you do. It's just a Bus Route with a different Branding and a different style of operation.
