SSSSooo we are getting into the middle of Nov. and still no pick for Winter 2010......I keep hearing that we will be getting the Q19 and the Q38 from LGA......I ask the union guy and he said he thought the same thing......but we have to wait till they get the new pick to see what is what.....maybe things will stay the way they are for now...who know's......also been hearing the general pick will be delayed.....but the good thing about it when it does go down the cut off date for super seniority will be June 9 2009.....which means all the guys hired after the take over will be safe......anybody moving into the depot will go at the bottom of the 6/9/09 date.....we still have to vote on this.....super or straight seniority......ssoo the wheels keep turning ever so slowly.........

Lmao, what's wrong? Don't like Flushing?

He prefers the Q19 over the Q38 lol.

Though I wish they sent over a route thats different. The Q38 is technically a loop route, they should have sent something over like the Q69 or one of the airport routes out of LGA. But thats just me

Excuse me sir, but what is the reasoning behind this

The reasoning would be that, if possible, a route should have its last runs going away from a business district and to a residential area. For the Q19, that would mean that common sense dictates that the last run be away from Flushing to Astoria---meaning that the deadhead would be longer to CP, which is why the Q102-Q104 were moved to LGA in the first place and why the Q101 should (but isn't for some odd reason) there.

But, as per lgaunion.com several runs begin/end in Flushing and you could always rearrange the runs. Plus LaGuardia Depot does not have room to handle the Q102, Q103, and Q104 which is MUCH more than 20 added weekday runs. But they lost only 20 weekday runs with the QM10 and QM11. Plus CP is much larger so it could handle more routes.

If LGA lost all of its express routes, it could fit them.

Not even close because you need space for the weekend runs. Currently, none of the LaGuardia routes have weekend service yet thhose routes have weekend service. Plus, LaGuardia drivers were pissed off that they were going to lose their express routes to the point that a poster on jerryswebsite.info who is also a QM24 Downtown B/O called local passengers "scums of the earth" and that he did not want to deal with them, just to give you the level of tempers. LaGuardia drivers even cut off CP Drivers over Seniority and the route swaps. Luckily, an insider broke a deal and avoided the loss of the LaGuardia express routes. Given that the Q19 and Q38 are close to CP Depot. Closer than the QM12, QM22, or QM24. But these are just rumors like everything else in this hobby as well as any other hobby.
