City bus kills woman, 65, in Brooklyn

A 65-year-old woman carrying a bag of Christmas lights was struck and killed by a city bus in Brooklyn on Wednesday night, police said.

 

The woman, who was not immediately identified, was crossing E. 71st St. in Bergen Beach when she was hit by a B41 bus as it turned onto Avenue U around 7 p.m., police said.

The Bus was making a right hand turn onto Ave U, maybe the bad weather last night played a factor. This is very sad to hear especially around this time of the year. RIP.
