Lennyj17 Posted January 14, 2010 Share #3 Posted January 14, 2010 That's nothing new.... When the MTA switches buses from depot 2 depot and NYCT and MTA Bus you will see that. Couple of times I've seen MTA Bus with NYCT Lettering and front end Ad's.....
Queens Surface Posted January 14, 2010 Share #4 Posted January 14, 2010 yeah nothing new about a Ex-PBL Bus on a NYCB route still having Mta Bus Decals.

Grand Concourse Posted January 14, 2010 Share #7 Posted January 14, 2010 nice! So cool seeing an ex-MTA Bus on the JG routes and the B9 [which I use the most along with the B11]. I was at Grand Army Plaza today and saw a 98xx bus there. I am not familiar with the area, but I think it was the B69.
MattTrain Posted January 14, 2010 Share #8 Posted January 14, 2010 The Jackie Gleason depot is receiving their Orion V's from Spring Creek Depot and that's why you'll see bus on the JG routes in Brooklyn. One Bus Operator told me that today. Great shots!
SevenEleven Posted January 14, 2010 Share #9 Posted January 14, 2010 btw what does PBL mean? Private bus lines... Or what was them pre Bus.
Pablo M 201 Posted January 14, 2010 Share #10 Posted January 14, 2010 The Jackie Gleason depot is receiving their Orion V's from Spring Creek Depot and that's why you'll see bus on the JG routes in Brooklyn. One Bus Operator told me that today. No. JG did not receive those Orion V CNGs from Spring Creek. The majority came from West Farms.
MattTrain Posted January 14, 2010 Share #11 Posted January 14, 2010 No. JG did not receive those Orion V CNGs from Spring Creek. The majority came from West Farms. Oh sorry, my mistake
aemoreira81 Posted January 14, 2010 Author Share #12 Posted January 14, 2010 No. JG did not receive those Orion V CNGs from Spring Creek. The majority came from West Farms. It was about half from West Farms and half from College Point. About half of them, like 9848, still have MTA Bus on them, although 9848 is the only one of which I am aware that was never repainted post-takeover. Grand Concourse Posted January 14, 2010 Share #13 Posted January 14, 2010 Oh sorry, my mistake  Which were originally CP or ex-QSC [Queens Surface]. Which brings me to ask: if these ex-CP buses are going to JG, why not give the ex-SC buses [at CP] to JG and give CP back the 9800 buses?

aemoreira81 Posted January 15, 2010 Author Share #21 Posted January 15, 2010 Nice catches, was it almost a year ago you posted that 1st pic before? The first pic is in Morrisania at the end of March 2009. nice pics and i also 9845 from jg in coneyisland last week and it was on the b68 and it said mta bus and i sed huh ? hold on and i double checked . West Farms never relabeled 9845 or 9848. The remaining units that still have MTA Bus were previously stored at Casey Stengel Depot or transferred from College Point.
