This was bound to happen as a protester takes a brand new Koran,rips the pages and burn them one by one before being escorted by authorities for his own safety.If Terry Jones wasnt going to do it,some one was.

Thats funny that this is up so quick. I didnt film him burning the book but I was filming him when he was being escorted out of the site and I was following the him with the hoard of reporters..You can see me in a few of those shots ;) .I need to start uploading to youtube just got home.. The nuts were coming out of the woodwork to get on their soap box... There was even a christian group that showed up just to protest abortion screaming over the PA system and showing huge pictures of aborted babies but had nothing to say about the mosque at all and very little to say about 9/11..

 

And I dont see anything sensitive about it.. Its just a book, no matter whats written in it... its not like a human is burning.

The Iman said that if he knew that building a mosque by WTC would start so much controversy, then he would have never planned to built it there. Seriously? An idiot would know that something like a mosque by Ground Zero would start a huge arguement

 

Hes just talking BS to act like its not about being a victory mosque because he has had plenty of buyout offers for the property and hes refusing so it IS about being near ground zero....

This is really going to cause controversy. If people die overseas because of this I will blame this bastard for it. If he didn't burn the Koran none of this imminent danger would happen. Even though I am American most Americans haven't change and they are just as fu**ing stupid and racist as they always have been. Also the abortion group shouldn't have been there. They could have protested else where. Even though abortion is bad they had no right to protest near Ground Zero. Ground Zero had nothing to do with dead babies.

You are just like the rest of the sheep who believe what they see on TV.. Nothing different is going to happen overseas because of people burning the quran.. Its just a statement to put fear into people.. Do you really think our military is that weak and insecure that all of a sudden the troops will be killed because of this? Nah... Besides..Our troops DONT BELONG IN THESE MUSLIMS COUNTIRES...Its not going to create any increase in bombings than already are going on...

You mean controversy hasn't already been caused from some dude in Florida who was supposedly going to burn the book already? People are already dying overseas in this war on both sides of the table. This isn't anything new. I pretty much agree with everything else. All i know is with what happened today I wonder how the people who lost loved ones are feeling right now. They're the only ones I actually care about. everybody else is using this day as an excuse to act stupid.

NaH man this doesnt have anything to do with taking pride in America, its about Americans being spineless overly politically correct wimps. In Texas and other states that arnt all about big city slicking life they flip out if you go to their town and burn a flag .. You would probably suffer a massive beating.. This is just the liberal soft weak people who are passive and let flag burnings go without protest..Besides these dirty muslims who burn flags are doing it in their countries not ours... Thats wy they are able to get away with it. If they came to anylocaltown USA people would tear these muslims a new one for burning the flag..

 

NYC people in general are way too loose and liberal, so they are usually passive wimps who dont really have a passion for anything but acting like asses for attention.. If they wont get attention they wont do anything..

They talk s@$t about hating America and how America is garbage but they hide here because its too unstable in Uzbekistan or what ever Russian state they came from. THey wear fur coats, drive nice new Lexus cars but you see them online at the supermarket paying for food with welfare benefits cards.. They scam America and take advantage anyway they can..

My personal opinion: I disagree that it violates the concept of trust as a state employee, because he didn't embarrass the state. Even if he is at-will as he is in management, I still believe that his First Amendment rights were violated as the reason for termination is clear.

I am not mistaken, this same guy was a NJ Transit Employee and has since been fired. As stupid as his act was, it is protected by the First Amendment.
