Wallyhorse Posted March 28, 2012 Share #404 Posted March 28, 2012 For 5th Avenue/53rd Street being out: The Spring Street C/E station is temporarily closed. C only runs in Brooklyn from Euclid-Hoyt/Schermerhorn, terminating on the normally-unused "local" track at Hoyt. The Transit Museum trains are temporarily moved so the C can use the Transit Museum Station at Court Street for shifting. E runs via the F from West 4th-71st Continental and then regular route. A special Shuttle train operates between 71st-Continental (replacing the M, see below) and Lexington Avenue-53rd Street. B, D and F run their normal routes. M is re-routed via 8th Avenue to replace the C and E between West 4th and 50th Street (E)/Columbus Circle , then continues to replace the C to 168th Street.

Since you didn't, i'll propose a new scenario: Due to construction of a new underground passageway from Barclay's Center to Atlantic Terminal, the (B /(Q) station & the (2)/(3)(4)/(5) local tracks are closed. Pacific Street is unaffected. All Atlantic Terminal LIRR trains have been rerouted to LIC. Just reroute subway lines. Remember: 4 Avenue can't handle 5 lines. The IRT Brooklyn Express tracks can't handle 4 lines. Actually 4 Av can handle 5 lines. Since each line (B, D, N, Q, R) runs 8 tph, three can run on one track and two on the other. My solution to this: Trains run Brighton Beach - Coney Island - (West End / 4 Av Exp) - Pacific St - regular route to Bronx. Alternatives: Bronx/CPW to Brooklyn (B / D) - take the A or C between 59 St and W4 St. Astoria to Brooklyn (N / Q) - take the 4 or 5 between 59 St and Canal St. QBL to Brooklyn - take the E or F to 53 St and transfer to the 6 to Canal St, where J service is available. Well, there's no ® during the night, so... via Brighton local. via Culver local. shuttle between 9 Av and Coney Island. Shuttle buses between the 4 Av corridor (Bay Ridge and Dekalb Ave) I like it, but suggestion; via Culver Express. Whenever there is a problem, and the must use another line, it pretty much ALWAYS goes Express. And usually when it goes down the Brighton Line, It runs Express. Haters can hate, because I have seen the running via the Brighton Express. via Culver/Viaduct Express. The used to be the Brighton Express, but that is not my main reason. I think the should do it because it would back up the traffic if everything was running Local. I now there is construction at Smith/9 Sts., but still the could go Express South of Church Avenue.
