Grand Concourse Posted March 8, 2013 Share #3608 Posted March 8, 2013 That's too vague. What caused the disruption? Loss of power, stalled train, broken rail, 12-9? If it's a broken rail just before the switch that allows the J to run onto the L to Canarsie, then maybe have the L split service and run to Broadway Junction lower level platform. If not, then run a bus shuttle.

I didn't see any that would allow for a switch before Broadway Junction, only the pocket track at Myrtle.

Hmm, if it's 57th-7th Ave and 50th Street, I'd say suspend from Astoria-Ditmars to 42nd Street and just have it run from Coney Island to Times Square-42nd Street via local. Have (N)'s run in 2 sections from Astoria-Ditmars to Queensboro Plaza and from Coney Island to Times Square-42nd Street, via tunnel in that route though to cover the . The could go via the then the / to Dekalb and switch back to original route from there. Edited March 9, 2013 by peacemak3r
