Roosevelt Island station has to be closed for a renovation. What would you do to the  (F)

Bypass Roosevelt Island... if the station needs to be closed it generally doesn't affect the tracks.

But if it does...

(F): Via 53rd Street.

(M): Reduced service between Essex Street and 71st Street.

Expect delays in the 53rd Street tunnel.

Option 1: Bypass Roosevelt Island in both direction.

In addition, free shuttle buses provided between 21st St-Queensbridge, Roosevelt Island Station via tramway.

Simple:

(L) runs to Myrtle-Wyckoff

Single-track shuttle train operates between Myrtle-Wyckoff and Broadway Junction.

If he said SOUTH of Broadway Junction, why would you single track it from Myrtle-Wyckoff?

All trains run to Broadway Junction, shuttle buses or the B60 for points south

Track switches.  I didn't see any that would allow for a switch before Broadway Junction, only the pocket track at Myrtle.

Due to broken rail at Crystie St Connection, (J)(Z) service will turn around at Essex St.

(M) trains will operate in 2 sections.

1. Between Forest Hills and 2nd Av (F).

2. Between Metropolitan and Myrtle Av-Broadway.

Transfer between (M) and (J)(Z) at Myrtle Av-Broadway.

Transfer between (J)(Z) and (F) at Essex-Delancey Sts.

Transfer between (F) and (6) at Broadway-Lafayette/Bleecker St for service to/from Canal St and Chambers St/Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall.

Due to fire activity at Howard Beach Airtrain Station, train or shuttle bus cannot used Howard Beach Station, including Airtrain JFK.

Also in addition, due to R1/R9 fan trip stuck on switch between 57th St-7th Av and 50th St on Broadway Line, as well as Low-V stuck near City Hall Loop, trains cannot acccess either stations.

Affects (6), (A), (N), (Q), (R), (A) Shuttle Bus and Airtrain JFK.

(A) trains go to Lefferts

(6) runs to Bowling Green and uses SF Inner

I'm stumped by the N/Q/R scenario, evidently I need to study my track maps more

Like I said, the (N)(Q)(R) scenario stumped me... no amount of looking at track diagrams helped, and I know next to nothing about shuttle buses.

Hmm, if it's 57th-7th Ave and 50th Street, I'd say suspend (Q) from Astoria-Ditmars to 42nd Street and just have it run from Coney Island to Times Square-42nd Street via local.  Have (N)'s run in 2 sections from Astoria-Ditmars to Queensboro Plaza and from Coney Island to Times Square-42nd Street, via tunnel in that route though to cover the (R).  The (R) could go via the (F) then the (B) / (D) to Dekalb and switch back to original route from there.
