Lance Posted November 6, 2014 Share #2376 Posted November 6, 2014 Better than "via the line" (bridge) or "via the line" (tunnel). Why? "Via the Q/R line" conveys where the trains are running better than "express/local between Canal St and DeKalb Av" since the tunnel and bridge lines are shown as two separate lines on the map.

In a way, it makes sense because the runs nonstop between Canal Street and Dekalb Avenue while the has 6 stops to go to between Canal Street and Dekalb Avenue.

I suppose he's right overall. I guess it doesn't matter which one they choose to word it perhaps, since all of the stations between Canal and DeKalb via the Montague Street Tube are local stops on the Broadway/4th Ave corridors anyway. I was on an uptown that was crawling between Grand Central and 59th while there were workers on the track. On the contrary, there were * * trains running on the * * line heading uptown and this was at 3:30.

Usually on the Lex they always reroute the to reduce the frequency of trains if in case of signal, switch, mechanical problems. Allow additional travel time. Hmmmm......wonder why. There was also a time when a downtown ran on the line earlier today. Anyways the probably went on the because the northbound express trains ARE SLOW AS A TURTLE right now. I had to transfer at 86 Street for an uptown because it took at least 10 minutes for my uptown to get from 59 Street to 86 Street. When the I rode left 125 Street, the same set I rode earlier on the was just arriving at 125 Street. Keep in mind the usually runs on the when there are delays on the Lexington Avenue line and vice versa.
