NYC Transit Forums is running a subway photo contest. The prize for this contest is an official 1964 New York City Transit Authority World's Fair subway map. This is an official New York City subway map and it is in great condition. No tears, rips or holes of any kind.

The following is the criteria for the photo contest:

 

 

 

  • Any subway from any division (IRT, BMT, IND).
  • Any subway location (underground, above ground, elevated, open cut).
  • Any time shot (morning, afternoon, night time, peak and off-peak).
  • The photograph has to have a clear subject.
  • The photograph must focus attention on its subject.
  • The photograph must eliminate anything that would distract the viewer's attention from the subject.
  • One [1] photo entry per person only.
  • Camera phone pictures will be deleted.

Entries are to be submitted to info@nyctransitforums.com with "Photo Contest Entry" on the subject.

 

DO NOT POST YOUR PHOTO ENTRY HERE.

 

I will be accepting photo entries until Thursday August 7, 2008.

There will be two [2] ways for the winner to receive the map.

 

  1. Either regular USPS mail
  2. Pick-up at Union Square station (Monday-Friday between 10 am - 3 pm Only)

Thanks, Harry, and everyone! It was close, and I still think Curtis entered the best photo. At least that's the one I voted for :P

 

Congratulations Fred, it was great going against you....an excellent photographer:p:D. Thanks everyone whom have voted for my pic....it was a close race:):cool:

And definately an applause for Curtis for keeping it close and indeed a great picture. I voted for it!

 

Congrats Fred! I liked Curt's pic a lot too, but there is no way I could pass up that shot of my (J)! Nice job to all!!

Kudos to Curtis and Fred G, I voted for Andy's shot though. IMO his is the best. :P
