favbusbx13 Posted June 18, 2013 Share #1 Posted June 18, 2013 Something interesting I saw that would most likely be for the Bx41.

Turbo19 Posted June 18, 2013 Share #4 Posted June 18, 2013 Great shot! Im curious to if buses being wrapped early can cause more farebeating... How so, because farebeaters will assume that they can utilize all three doorways to board? The way I see it a farebeater will farebeat regardless of the damn wrap on the bus. Sorry, but you made my day!
mtattrain Posted June 18, 2013 Share #5 Posted June 18, 2013 Nice find! Interesting to see the BX41 SBS being prepped quickly!

No I was saying that if people knew what select bus service was, and they saw a "Bx9 Select Bus Service" bus, they would assume its SBS and think to pay before you board. Then they would see no machines at the stop and go through the back. lmaoo im just thinking from possibly the general public view lol

Some passengers use the strangest of logic, if they have any to begin with. Still laughing though.

paulrivera Posted June 19, 2013 Share #9 Posted June 19, 2013 Meanwhile over on the Bx12 SBS, there's buses that don't have the SBS wrap at all... Gotta love that TA logic.

There has been +SBS on the Bx12 for 5 years now. Riders know the drill wrap or not.
NYCtrainfan01 Posted June 19, 2013 Share #11 Posted June 19, 2013 Saw that same bus on the Concourse a few days ago... Couldn't tell if it was a Bx1 or a Bx2... Nice shot though!

favbusbx13 Posted June 20, 2013 Author Share #14 Posted June 20, 2013 Thanks for the comments! Appreciated I don't know why the Bx9 doesn't become sbs I think it's a pretty good route for sbs.. Isn't it?

Isn't it? Bx9 for SBS?? For what? I can't believe that ridership in Riverdale is that high that it needs SBS. Whenever I see the buses by 230th when I'm heading to Riverdale on the express bus, they're not that crowded at all. Maybe half a seated load, so the primary ridership must be south of Riverdale, in the Bronx (i.e. Kingsbridge, etc.)
via White Plains Road Posted June 20, 2013 Share #16 Posted June 20, 2013 Thanks for the comments! Appreciated I don't know why the Bx9 doesn't become sbs I think it's a pretty good route for sbs.. Isn't it? The Bx9 doesn't need SBS, it doesn't have enough ridership nor it never had Limited service. Most of the passengers dump off by 225th Street and Broadway for the train and shopping center in the area!
Via Garibaldi 8 Posted June 20, 2013 Share #17 Posted June 20, 2013 The Bx9 is not getting SBS they used that wrapped bus for regular service but in 2 weeks that same bus will on the Bx41 SBS! I know it isn't but I questioned why it was being thought about in the first place.
