Cait Sith Posted February 15, 2015 Share #2 Posted February 15, 2015 I saw the pic...I haven't seen one go up in smoke like that for a long time.... Which reminds me, that 7400 that went up in smoke is back in service, I wonder whats up with 7109? I heard it was a goner but I'm not quite convinced. 553 Bridgeton Posted February 15, 2015 Share #3 Posted February 15, 2015 7109 is history. The bus will cost too much, basically a brand new bus from the bottom up. And as cheap as they got them for njt wont even bother.
46Dover Posted February 16, 2015 Share #4 Posted February 16, 2015 I saw the pics. My God in Heaven..... Reminds me of when I was driving the 78 route to Bernardsville. Got caught in unexpected traffic, then I saw smoke in the distance. When I got to the source of the smoke, it was a Coach USA MCI J4500 in flames on I-78 East. That was my first time I saw a bus fire up close like that. But, as they say, you do this job long enough, you see everything
DaTransitMan4608 Posted February 16, 2015 Share #5 Posted February 16, 2015 So....8227 burnt to a crisp last night I just saw the picture. 8227 got it bad. I hope this doesn't become a trend with Howell's older 45's aging more and more everyday. It doesn't help the fact that they've been running them to death either. QM1to6Ave Posted February 18, 2015 Share #12 Posted February 18, 2015 Holy cow. Did the firefighters let it burn itself out, or did that happen before they could get it under control?
busdude2 Posted February 18, 2015 Share #13 Posted February 18, 2015 Holy cow. Did the firefighters let it burn itself out, or did that happen before they could get it under control? I'm sure it was gone before they got there.
