Bare in mind the Lincoln production duration ranges between 3-6 months and the shells from Kobe come in at a rate of about 3-4 per week to bi-weekly if any delays which can be random. The facility can only house a capacity with about 70-100 cars at max, inside and out to what I was told. 140 just came into the receiving line actually. The production for the base order is excepted to be completed by the end of the year latest to get the green lit for the option cars receiving in January 2025. They haven’t got to excercise Option II yet. Let Option 1 play out first before Option 2 is officially placed in order.

Let's not forget that ridership is growing, "B" and "D" trains need to be fully NTTs due to CBTC. Also, the MTA will get more money through congestion pricing, so they better not make excuses for not purchasing option order 2.

With the way transit is, The will get techs, The re-routes on 8th ave is the main factor of the and getting techs. Yes they can still use older non cbtc equipment in CBTC areas but they don't want the road to get screwed up. So it makes sense just to give the and techs and get it over with plus 6th ave is going to have CBTC as well so it's killing 2 birds with one stone.

The UFT is the teachers Union and teachers are part of the city as well, but that’s another story for the topic. To the R211 topic, there will be enough for the & to cover the fleet when all this is said & done.
