Alright, it's that time guys :
Retired Buses As of December 31, 2021:
Orion V Transit: 662
Orion V Suburban: N/A
Orion V 32.5: 118, 131, 134* (120 transferred to P.T.L.A to replace 131)
New Flyer XD60: 350
At least Bee Line knows to not have buses enter a campus while its closed for COVID. NJT on the other hand loves to run buses to college's that are closed just for the sake of wasting fuel (ahem 175 ahem).
The order was originally suppose to start with 401, but because of a numbering conflict they started at 398. Bee Line always has the second bus of an order start off as the pilot bus (with the exception of 141).
Actually, NJT needs to rethink these contract terms. Any contract with more then 5 routes should be split and NJT needs to start letting small private carriers bid on these contracts as well other then these big private carriers.
Can someone explain what the process is behind NJT “leasing” parts of their bus orders to private carriers and painting them in private carrier livery’s? I’m specifically talking about the MCI’s. Like is the 77 a NJT route or a Coach USA route?
So after getting that garbled voicemail from an MTA number, I’ve called the pre-employment number like 20 times and it just continues to ring. I then called the main office at 2 Broadway and guess what…HR isn’t available to speak to. So the person took down my information and told me I’d get a call back…that was 2 weeks ago.
